COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This NW style sour ale blends wheat & blond ales that were oak aged in barrels for 6 mths, then additionally aged 4 mths on fresh blueberries. Huge herbal notes of dense blueberries in the nose give way to hints of oak & a dusty floral note. Rich earthy notes of dark fruit on the palate lead to a tart finish that dries out to a base note of blueberry skins.

My Bottom Line:
Silken blueberry juice and mineral angles delve into intelligent acidity in this soft and bubbly creation.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the purplish gown.
-Blueberry flavors are well integrated.
-Drinkability is quite high; this is an elegant drink.
-Bacterial complexity roams within, giving depth to the fruitiness.

Bottle; gros merci Martin et Michèle!

Bottle, from the Beer Dispesary, Apex. good aroma, yeast and fruit. Blueberry, oak, vinegar. Blueish red color, good initial head, faded quickly to nothing. Sour flavor. Light body, thin creamy mouthfeel, tart dry finish. It’s good, nice blend on oak and blueberries, appearance was a little odd, head disappeared quickly, blueberry gives it a funny color. But still a nice beer

Poured a deep purple color with aromas of blueberries, light wet oak, some tartness, and a touch of vinegar. Flavors matched the aromas, tart blueberries, funk and some light wet wood, enjoybale and really drinkable.

"Deep purple blue pour. Wonderful aroma and flavor of fresh blueberries, herbal and floral as well. Very fresh tasting, moderately sour. Probably the best blueberry beer I’ve had..."

Pours mahogany blue into a snifter. White micro head with excellent retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Blueberry and oak aromas. Sharp with sweet blueberry and tart lactic notes. Dry lasting blueberry powder finish.

2011 vintage. Beautiful purple pour, just a hint of cloudiness and a billowy white head. Blueberry and oak in the nose. Sour in a mellow way - not as bracingly sour like some of the Cascade beers can be. Dry finish. Earthy and musty blueberry tannin finish. Yummy.

Light purple-red. Lots of barrel, touch of blueberry, touch yeasty, opening acidity, dash of fruit and almost a yoghurty lacto character.

Bottle, shared at RBAG 2014. Beautiful hazy purple. Genuine raw blueberry character shares equal billing with sourness that is more like unripened berries than anything, along with some subtle funk. A very drinkable sour.
