COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This NW style sour ale blends wheat & blond ales that were oak aged in barrels for 6 mths, then additionally aged 4 mths on fresh blueberries. Huge herbal notes of dense blueberries in the nose give way to hints of oak & a dusty floral note. Rich earthy notes of dark fruit on the palate lead to a tart finish that dries out to a base note of blueberry skins.

Bottle @ Avery SourFest III. Reddish, somewhat murky appearance with a pink head. Blueberry, hay, straw, somewhat tart aroma. The flavor tasted a little fucked up to me. I didn’t get a ton of blueberry and instead just got a grainy, straw flavor with some other light fruit notes. Disappointing.

Bottle at 3rd Annual Boulder SourFest (06-02-2012). Poured magenta with a white head and great lacing. Smell is big blueberry, but I’m also picking up herbal/medicinal aromas, yeast, oak, and cherries, as well. Really sour, with flavors of tart berry, wood, and floral hints. Mouthfeel is medium with soft carbonation. Very tasty sour.

Appearance: Pours a bright magenta with a foamy head that quickly subsides to a film.

Aroma: Blueberry, blush wine, oak and cork. Lots of lactic funk.

Taste: Funk, phenols, a little bit of ban daid, sour blueberry, slighly grainy wheat. Low tannins alcohol well.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with modest carbonation.

Overall: Very tasty, pretty funky compared to other fresh-ish Cascade sours I’ve tried. Really wish I had more to try over time.

Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Bottle opened by Jeppe for us mad tickers. Thanks Jeppe!
Hazy pink -red beer, tiny pink head. Mild seltzer like minerals. Mild tart blueberry. The fruit is kind of swallowed by all the minerals. Dry finish. Not too bad really.

Pours perfectly berry in color, like a hazy raspberry with a nice pink champagne colored head. The aroma is sweet, with vague notes of bluebs fresh, with a bit of wild yeast in the background. The flavor brings nice tart tangy notes without the blueberries as you would expect them to be much more prevalent. The flavor of a Flemish sour with a lighter body to end.

Bottle… WPB Town Hall Meeting 2012This beer rocks!… Pours hazy and burnt-orange with a fizzy, periwinkle head that never seems fully dissipates. The bouquet furnishes sweet blueberries intermingled with acidity and a touch of funk. Medium-bodied with modest carbonation. The flavor is tart and fruity with mild tannic bitterness. Fruity, tangy, minerally finish. Kudos to the ever-generous biggsbowler for sharing this beauty!
