COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This NW style sour ale blends wheat & blond ales that were oak aged in barrels for 6 mths, then additionally aged 4 mths on fresh blueberries. Huge herbal notes of dense blueberries in the nose give way to hints of oak & a dusty floral note. Rich earthy notes of dark fruit on the palate lead to a tart finish that dries out to a base note of blueberry skins.

Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours a hazy pinkish red with medium frohthy pink head that lasts. The aroma is a strong tart blueberry and oak. Thin mouthfeel with sour berry, funk, oak. Light acidity, easy to drink, very good.

Bottle sample at a sour tasting at Noams office. Thanks DSG. Pours cherry with a pinkish head, aroma of blueberry, forest of the fruit sweetness, flavor is slightly sour with green tea, fart and wood, medium bodied.

750ml bottle. Once again courtesy of Todd. Thank you... Cork had a little tension built up and was stubborn to open but eventually conceded. Bottle opened with a small pop, non-gushing, and yields a deep semi-lively violet purple and topped with a thin soapy white head... Aroma of a fruitcentric blueberry forwardness, a touch of sourness, sweet tarts, and a whisper of oak. Nice sour fruit character lacking any bugs or funk in the nose ... Flavors of muted and earthy blueberry notes initially. Not tremendously sour or acidic in any way to begin with but more of a focused lively semi-dry blueberry fruit persuasion with more of a developed sour aspect as it warms. Fruit continues through the middle and finishes on an off-dry note. Lighter bodied than what I was expecting with a sprite lively mouthfeel. Lacking any type of funk character or deeper level of complexity but a pretty nicely conceived sour fruit beer overall. This grew on me more as I worked my way through my glass.

25.4 oz bottle. Deep purple with foamy pink edges. Nose is yoghurt, cheese, sour blueberry, grain and lemon pudding. Tart and juicy with a growing pucker and a dry finish. Taste is sour lemon with hints of blueberry and earthy skins. Solid simple sour.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a deep violet colored body with a finger-width, dense and frothy, pinkish purple head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing throughout. Aroma is rich blueberries with a nice tartness, wheat malts with a light sweetness, florals, some funk, and a light wood. Flavor is similar. Blueberries with a light sweetness and wheat note, a moderate sourness, a light funk, some florals, and wood. Finishes dry, tart, fruity, and lightly sweet before leaving a lengthy aftertaste. Light body and a somewhat lively, moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid sour. Lots of blueberries with a nice tartness, some florals, wheat, and a light woody funk. Nice beer.

Bottle of beer. Aroma of black raspberries. Blueberries. Yogurt drizzled with old leather and jammy fruits. Four on the sour scale. Dry. Nice balance. Like.

murky cherry with thin strawberry yogurt ring for a head. Balsamic nose borders on bile, sickly berry sweetness dominating. Autolysis at front that blows off with warmth, arsenic and berry mid before a meaty rubber reemerge a in the fleshy, medicinal finish, fruit but off, rotting even, and its not blueberry. Sticky and full, oppressive.

Bottle split with Tom and Jessie. Pours a purple haze with thin white head. Aromas and taste are very perfumey, and dark grape forward. Lots of barrel yeast with a really sour finish. As it warmed I got more tart blueberry, raspberry, and other sugary fruitts. Pretty tasty.

Bottle chilling (literally) in the DLD line. Now this was pretty nice. Well balanced between the funk and blueberries. The fruit was still there to add some sweetness and bump up the tartness.
