Bottle (750 ml). Shared by David, thanks! Hazy purple with a small pink head that quickly dissipates and leave no lacing. Aroma is of intense blueberry jam, oak, acetic notes and herbal/floral presence. Taste is sligthtly sweet and moderately to heavily sour with blueberry jam again, lactic and acetic presence, wood and slight herbal/floral notes (mostly covered by the sourness). Medium body. Leaves the mouth dry. Not easy on the stomach, but really fun to try but all those blueberries! I liked it!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at 3rd Annual Boulder SourFest (06-02-2012). Poured magenta with a white head and great lacing. Smell is big blueberry, but Iím also picking up herbal/medicinal aromas, yeast, oak, and cherries, as well. Really sour, with flavors of tart berry, wood, and floral hints. Mouthfeel is medium with soft carbonation. Very tasty sour.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
750ml bottle from Proof. Deep red pour with a pink head. Aroma of jammy blueberry and light oak, leather, vinegar. Tastes are along the same lines with a nice sharp tartness. Not getting a lot of blueberry specifically, but mix of berries balanced with light vinegar. Delicious. Could drink gallons if it werenít crazy expensive the rare times we get it.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared with friends. Iíve always loved Cascade sours but this one sort of fell short of my expectations. The color has a blueish tint to it, good carbonation and a light sour aroma. However the flavor just didnít have enough blueberry for me. Maybe Iím being too harsh here but itís just my opinion.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle is trade. Pours out an odd reddish purple berry juice color with not much of a head. Aroma is of lots of fresh blueberries, funky tartness, light sweetness, Brett and mild vinegar notes. Taste is very blueberry forward, nailed that one, you know these blueberries were fresh. Funky Brett, some tart sourness, almost puckering tartness balanced nicely with more sweet/ tart fresh blueberries. Nice!

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Stunning purplish-red body, massive dense white head, frothy foamy lacing. Nose shows a rich lactic blueberry muffin character. Some oak and must is also present. Flavor is more fruit forward with slightly sweeter blueberry notes controlling. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation and nice lactic acidity.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours perfectly berry in color, like a hazy raspberry with a nice pink champagne colored head. The aroma is sweet, with vague notes of bluebs fresh, with a bit of wild yeast in the background. The flavor brings nice tart tangy notes without the blueberries as you would expect them to be much more prevalent. The flavor of a Flemish sour with a lighter body to end.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml bottle into tulip glass, 2012 vintage. Pours lightly hazy ruby red color with a 1-2 finger foamy light pink head with decent retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Slight spotty lacing on the glass, with tons of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big tart blueberry, green apple, cherry, pear, raspberry, pepper, hay, funk, oak, clove, leather, red wine, light vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Fantastic aromas with great balance and complexity of blueberry notes with fruity/spicy yeast and barrel presence; and big strength. Taste of tart blueberry, blueberry skin, green apple, pear, raspberry, pepper, hay, grass, oak, clove, funk, leather, red wine, light vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of fruity tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of blueberry, apple, pear, raspberry, pepper, oak, clove, hay, funk, red wine, light vinegar, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic balance and complexity of blueberries with fruity/spicy yeast and barrel notes; with a fantastic balance of malt/acidity and zero cloying flavors after the finish. High carbonation and medium bodied; with a very crisp, prickly, and moderately acidic mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic Blueberry sour ale! All around great complexity and balance of blueberry with fruity/funky yeast and oak character; and very smooth and crisp to drink with the moderate acidity. A highly enjoyable offering.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Shared at a recent tasting. Acquired in a trade with Thorpe429 & drabmuh.
The beer is bluish purple colored and clear with a light purple head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. A mouth watering appearance.
The aroma is just sublime. Blueberry pie with subtle notes of vanilla and a nice tartness. A beer to sniff and savor as long as your willpower can last.
Blueberries come through nicely. Mild acetic and lactic quality. Not nearly as sour as many other Cascade offerings, but refreshing and tart.
Creamy and smooth. A light sweetness from the berries offers balance.
Overall, I am quite pleased to hear this will be released in bottles. I look forward to having this again.
