Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell in London - many thanks to Bruce! Pours hazy gold with a creamy, white head. The aroma has moderate funk, apple and honey. Medium to big sweet flavor with ripe fruits, apple, wood, slight honey, alcohol. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Fairly warming on the finish with ripe and jammy fruits and sugary bread. Nice.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml thanks to Grant! Pours yellow hayish amber with a slight white foamed head. Oaky must nose, hints of slight citrus and peach, a tinge of bourbon, and some funk. Flavors start off with orange must, hay, and hints of caramel bourbon. The finish brings out a sweet wine funk all blended nicely. Damn good stuff, but was just hoping for a touch louder.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle thanks to Bruce. It pours hazy golden-amber with a medium white head. The nose is earthy, musty, wood, citrus peel, candy, hay and brioche. The taste is crisp, tart, sherbet, lemon, granny smith apple, wood, vanilla, tangerine, orange, alcohol warmth, some acidity, sour candied pear, orange and vinous notes. Medium body and fine carbonation. Balance is not quite there for me. Pretty hot as well. A decent sour nonetheless, but far from Cascade’s finest.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle... This beer rocks!… Lightly hazed amber ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Decent retention. The wonderful bouquet is loaded with fruit and oaken funk. Medium-bodied with lazy carbonation. In the flavor, funky cherry and grape SweeTarts mingle with woody, vinous notes of rum. Finishes boozy, fruity and tangy. Muchos kudos to 50belair for providing this world class effort!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: FEB 21, 2014 Bottle: thanks, Kevin! Burnt, toasty shade of copper, murky & nearly opaque with a white head that wisps away rather quickly leaving nothing behind. Aroma has huge notes of wine barrel aging; vinous oak, boozy grapes, cherries, apples, bitter oranges, & a finish of beautiful, sour acidity. Bourbon grows heavy on the nose, too, second to the wine... Not getting much of the rum barrel, but it’s a quite boozy nose for a sour, yet balanced well by the huge fruit orgy. Taste is full of cherry tartness, applesauce, vinous grapes & oak-y dryness, light vanilla, bourbon-y undertones, orange zest, & a strong, finishing acidity. Not quite "sour", more just a combo of tart & acidic. Light vinegar & acetone in the finish with a warmth from the wine & bourbon (still no rum). Unlike any other wild I’ve had... Very unique stuff, & quite tasty.

Bottle cheers to Bruce. Pours a cloudy amber with a very fluffy small white head. Nose is a bucket load of sugar! Some lemon driven funk, blueberries, white grapes - quite vinous, and very floral. I guess Colin’s notion of a woman’s odour is kind of near the mark. Taste is absolutely sugar driven, well laden honey, plum and blueberry tartness, touch of leather. Works well but god damn there is so much residual sugar in this big beast of a sour. To be fair, the ABV is hidden masterfully. A solid sour
