Tasted on 9/30/12 from a corked and caged 750mL bottle sent to me by Chris, big thanks. Pours deep, dark brown with a bit of a red velvet tint, and a thin brown head that slowly recedes to thin lace. The nose is sour with loads of chocolate malt, maple, vanilla, and caramel bourbon, and just a touch of roast. The flavor is a bit more sour up front, moving to all of the chocolate, maple, vanilla, and caramel barrel aged notes, and finishing with some roast. The body is full and tannic with average carbonation and a very long sour and bourbon finish.

At Borefts 2016. thnx for sharing, everyone ! Pours black, smell is sweet, bit bourbon, OK. Taste is sharp, sour/sweet, roasty malts. Almost like a cherry aspect. OK, which is surprising for a sour stout, yet I still don’t get the fuzz and don’t think the combo is a nice thing.

Very dark brown colour. Aroma and flavour have plenty of vanilla sweetness. The tart finish is very palate cleansing.

Keg @Borefts 2016. Pours black with a beige head which is quite thick. Nose and taste is all about the red wine thing going on along with the fruit, red fruits, red wine. Slight bitter finish to go along with the sour wine gig, like a sour stout.
