750ml bottle, thanks Michael, split with my bride. Pours a dark reddish brown color with a thin tan head. Aroma is cherry, oak, vanilla. Medium on the palate with fizzy carbonation. Flavor is lightly sour, cherry, oak, some earthy-mustiness, something floral, with a light sour finish. Very tasty.

Huge thanks to 5000 for sending me this bottle.
Very dark red pour with a white head. The aroma is awesome. I get some cherry notes up front, but as you dig in a little more you get some nice maple, brown sugar and vanilla notes. The flavor is similarly complex. I get a lot of tart cherry character, as well as some light funk and toffee. The oak also comes through nicely in the flavor adding some vanilla, maple and wood. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Awesome American-made sour, but I expect nothing less from Cascade.

Blood red pour with a white head. Big cherry aroma of fruit flesh and skins. Sweet fruits, a touch of grass, and a light lactic tartness. Maybe a hint of vinegar. The flavor has a good fruit/cherry sweetness and lots of cherry skin character. Some oak, a bit of grass, and a bit of lemon juice.

Appearance : Clear red with small head.
Aroma : Great dark cherries with light funk. Woody notes with some tartness. Nice fruity complexity. Well balanced.
Taste : Great fruits with nice dark cherries. Some funk and some tartness. Nice fruity persistence on the finish. Some acidity but the fruits are dominating.
Overall : Wow really nice beer. big bold dark cherries. It almost feels like I was chewing the cherry itself. Nice presence of wood, funk and acidity. Very nice beer, among the best example of the style.

Deep dark red. Aroma is tart strawberry/cherry. Flavor is dominated by tart fruit. Almost too tart without much else flavor. Not my favorite cascade by any means.

750 ml bottle. Pours a clear ruby red with pinkish head that flourishes and disappears immediately. Aroma is bright, full of tart cherries, some oak, and vinegar. Assertively sour, tart but with a nicely balanced sweetness and some earthiness as well. Medium body, soft carbonation, with a slick texture. A delightful beer overall. We’d meant to share this with friends for the New Year, and when our plans fell through we kept putting it off until finally giving in and opening it ourselves tonight. This is still delicious now, but was really magical 5 months ago at the barrel house -- I encourage you to drink this one fresh.
