Deep reddish pour with purple tinges. Head is reddish/pink. Aroma is fruity, jammy, sweet tarts, berries and cherry. Sour up front but that gives way to
a huge jammy flavor of berries and cherry. Se lactic sourness. Nice!!

In short: An avalanche of fresh cherries with oak, mild tartness and farmhouse character. Excellent.
How: Bottle 750ml. Shared with Montreal friends. Bottle was approximately 6 months of age and sent to me by mcberko, thanks a lot Matt.
The look: Shinning bright dark red body topped by a beige ring of foam.
In long: Nose is an explosion of fresh dark and red cherries, a nice oak presence, a mild farmhouse character. Taste predominantly fruity with fresh dark cherries, fresh red cherries and a light raspberries sensation. A nice oak presence that adds a lot of depth without stealing the spotlight from the fruits. There is an overall farmhouse character without reaching the wild-funky territory. A mild acitidy/tartness adds a refreshing quality. Low sweetness sensation. This is classified on ratebeer as a Sour/Wild but this is really more of a mega- fruit beer with a light Sour/Wild twist. Truly an excellent beer, maybe the best Cascade I’ve ever had. A fantastic beer with a lot of class that is a perfect match for a fantastic classy person like me, and don’t tell me I’m a pretentious snob, I swear the next time someone calls me a pretentious snob I’m going to throw my colorful scarf over my shoulder, flip my hair and walk away.

On tap at Cascade’s Raccoon Lodge. It’s deep maroon with a nice aroma of cherries. Taste is lovely, cherries and lots of oak, complex and moderately sweet, with a mild tartness. Very very nice.

Bottle shared by my boy Seth. Murky sangria pour with no head. Cherry aromas. Tart and acidic cherry notes with sweet caramel back beats. Good body, balance, and carbonation. Just another fantastic ale from Cascade..

750 bottle shared by Glouglouburp. Big thanks !
Appearance : Clear red with small head.
Aroma : Great dark cherries with light funk. Woody notes with some tartness. Nice fruity complexity. Well balanced.
Taste : Great fruits with nice dark cherries. Some funk and some tartness. Nice fruity persistence on the finish. Some acidity but the fruits are dominating.
Overall : Wow really nice beer. big bold dark cherries. It almost feels like I was chewing the cherry itself. Nice presence of wood, funk and acidity. Very nice beer, among the best example of the style.

Snifter at the brewery.
A: Dark cherry red with hints of plum. No head (from barrel). Sticks to glass.
N: Bing cherry. Leather, tobacco. Decent sourness level. Vinous with some pinot noir grape.
T: Dead ringer for a pinot noir/burgundy. Cherry, leather, dirt, tobacco. Jammy with currants. Dried cranberries. This is really quite accomplished.
M: Coating for a heavier body, again reminiscent of the reds.
O: Color me shocked. This isn’t one for the lactic crowd, but one for the wine drinker. Good stuff.

Courtesy of dschiller. It pours opaque copper with gold hues and supporting a tan head of foam. The aroma is vinegar, passion fruit and earthiness. The taste starts off with a strong puckering tartness and vinegar slightly sweetened up by sugary maltiness. It then quickly flows into a tart cherry note. It ends with the addition of a pleasing peppery earthiness in the background that really works for me.
