Huge thanks to 5000 for sending me this bottle. Very dark red pour with a white head. The aroma is awesome. I get some cherry notes up front, but as you dig in a little more you get some nice maple, brown sugar and vanilla notes. The flavor is similarly complex. I get a lot of tart cherry character, as well as some light funk and toffee. The oak also comes through nicely in the flavor adding some vanilla, maple and wood. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Awesome American-made sour, but I expect nothing less from Cascade.

Deep reddish pour with purple. Head is pinkish. Aroma is fruity, sweet tart cherry, and berries. Sour at first but finishes with jammy flavor of berries and cherries

This was courtesy of Darren, the proprietor of The Local Beer Bar in Eureka, CA. Poured a dark red color with a white head and some pink highlights. Nose of cherry and oak. Medium in body. Flavor is sour cherry, some oak, apple and citrus. Finish is dry and sour. Really good.

750 ml bottle poured a clear reddish brown with a lingering ring of pinkish amber foam. Aromas of cherry, barnyard funk and toffee. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry tart finish. Flavors of cherry, toffee, light barnyard and light earthiness with a crisp dry tart lingering cherry finish.

Draft - Sour cherry and a bit of anise. Cloudy maroon with a thin pink head. Sour cherry, a bit of oak and some nice tartness. Reminds me of a Flemish red. Very nice.

Bottle generously shared by Dave. Aroma of pez, dark cherries, and instant lemonade. Pours hazy purple with no head or lacing. Taste is lush cherries, tart lemonade mix, and sweet tart candies. Nice tartness and a sweet mouthfeel. The powdered candy taste was slightly offputting but it was still enjoyable.

Draft at the brewery.

Dark, nearly black pour with red highlights. Cherry licorice aroma, some sourness. Modestly sour flavor, plenty of pie cherries of course. Cascade just doesn’t do funk, though. The sourness is there, but the funk ain’t. Still pretty good and something I’d be quite happy to drink when stumbling across it on tap.
