Big thanks to boralyl for getting this out my way. Served in a Cascade goblet. Pours a very dark red, looking almost exactly like red wine. The nose similarly has a lot of red-wine-type character. Some tannins along with mild cherry. Flavor is earthy and slightly fruity. Very low carbonation, and only a moderate amount of acidity.

Sample at Sour Sunday 2015. Ruby red with a small head. Aroma and taste of cherries, oak, funk and light spices. The finish was on the sweet side. Sour but not extremely sour. Balanced and refreshing. Tasty!

Cherry red and clear with no head. Big fruit aroma of cherries. Tart and sour flavor without being puckering. Smooth finish like a sweet tart. Very nice.

750ml bottle. Served in a Teku. 2014 Project, recently bottled. Aroma -- distinct, astringent, sour, cherry, mouth puckering aromatic qualities that leaves me salivating for more. Arguably, the best aroma Iíve encountered w/ a Cascade sour. Appearance -- dark burgundy appearance w/ fizzy head emblematic of a blackberry/cherry-like sour. Head is similar to De Gardeís Blackberry Bu w/ some burgundy color that dissipates quickly. Almost looks like cranberry juice after it has sat out for an hour. Taste -- effervescent, tart cherry mouthfeel that is more sour and tart than sweet, which I appreciate considering I was quaffing NG Belgian Red this weekend. Subtle oak on finish, but not prevalent throughout initial sip. Extremely enjoyable and sessionable. Palate -- Semi-spritzy, elegant, across entire palate. My, god -- the cherries blend remarkably well w/ the Red ales which were coalesced in this brew. Overall -- one of my favorite cherry beers. Fruit flies hovering over my cup within ten minutes, and my place is immaculate. I am truly saddened this is a limited seasonal release; I could drink this year round. Thank you, Cascade Brewing for your continued efforts and craftsmanship.

Draft pour at the raccoon brew pub. Pours the darkest possible red with a fresh sweet cherry aroma. What an awesome beer this is. Black cherry flavor with near maximum tartness. Finishes with a sweet and sour berry combination along with a red wine touch. This stuff is awesome.

Deep purplish red in color... Aroma of oak, red wine, dark fleshy berries... Flavor is like the best blend of red wine and Flemish red, berries, tannins, and Cabernet blend beautifully with light fruity tartness... Great beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Another expensive beer from Cascade, but another that was worth every cent. Took a leap of faith with this bottle as they were not serving this at the pub at the time. Significantly better than the very nice kriek. Elegant is the first word that comes to mind. Very refined and decadent even for a sour, but not at the expense of the funk. Fruity, but not very sweet. Adequately sour with lots of lingering oak. Deeelicious."

Bottle - pours dark ruby red. Sour cherry and tartness in the aroma. The taste is sour cherry with a very tart finish. A little vinegary like a red Flemish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

pulled out by Jo+Doug, thanks guys .. . pours a dark ruby .. mild head ring .. . moptop .. sour cherry, unripe cherry flesh (FLESH!!!), and mild vinaigrette .. . very tasty but a bit too one dimensional to be great .. . . Looks fun. They never let me do that though. Itís always, "feet first" "no you canít go down with a baby" "put your swimsuit back on"

Pours a nice dark red color with pink head. Berries, cherry, oak, and tartness on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes tart and dry.
