draft. dark red-hued brown. spice / nutmeg / pine needle-like nose with medium to light bugginess / acidity (light lacic acid?) and minimal roast or chocolate malt character usually found in porter, but of course this is understood to be something simply based on porter, so that’s fine. what’s not fine is this beer seems to be extremely muddled and diluted, where it’s hard to really figure out what it is: could be a mild, subtly spiced sort-of porter, or could be a semi-wild / sour (maybe that’s a stretch) winter spice thing, but taste and aroma seem so clouded that i’d rather just call it "kitchen sink" and leave it at that.

Dark brown in color, clear with a thin head. Right from the barrel. This has a strong cherry tart flavor and finish. Good overall drink-ability with a fantastic finish.

Draft at balefire. Pours nearly opaque dark rubied black with bright garnet edges. Dense creamy tan head, just amber pillows of grain waving to the melody. Loose sheets of lace. Beautiful tangy tart pie cherry nose. Densely layered tangy tart cherry mid palate, beautiful creamy body. Delicious beer.

Straight from barrel at Cascade Barrel house. An improvement from their original Bain De Brugge, the sour makes it.
