COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This NW-style sour ale is a special treat from the blenders. We took a 20 month old Thai cinnamon version of the Bourbonic and aged it a further four months on Bing cherries. Dark cherries, Bourbon and spices greet you in the nose. Big, rich, dark cherries, dates, oak, leather and tobacco dance on the palate. Deep cherry notes, dark fruits and a warming Bourbon flavor finish this off as only the Bourbonic can.

This one is 12%, and shows it, just like the non-cherry version. Mostly similar - a battle royal of dark intense sour versus bourbon boozinees - but Iíll give this one an oh so small tip o the hat for adding a dark tart cherry flavor and aroma to the party. 2-3% less alcohol and this would be a big time favorite

Nutty brown colour with haze, aroma is cherry, rich dark malts, barrel, touch of acetic. Sweet front, gaining dark malt and clean acidic complexity, cherry finish with straightforward cherry, a touch of oak. Alcohol completely hidden. Utterly gorgeous.

On tap at Brouwers sour beer fest. Pours a hazy dark red color with a mead Iím tan head that leaves decent lacing Smells of cherry, oak and bourbon. Tasted of the same things with a nice sour aftertaste. Mouthfeel is heavy and oily with good carbonation. Overall a great bourbon barrel aged aged sour beer. Strong and plenty of tasty sour cherry flavor With a nice oak flavor too. Cascade knows their sours.

murky red-sepia, thin white ring. Hot cherry nose, light grape skin and lemon. Flavor hot cherry at first, more balanced with bourbon and caramel mid before lightly acetic fruit finish, considerable lactic in yogurt through the soft, full but low carbonated body, little harsh, grassy.

Draft at the barrel house. Pours a murky dark crimson with no head or lace. Big dense sweet snack and pie cherry nose. Creamy thick body with no carb. Dense layers of fruit and barrel character on the mid palate. Long tangy finish.

On tap at Cascade, pours a deep dark amber / mahogany with a small tan head. Aroma brings out sour cherries, red wine barrels, bourbon, and wood. Flavour brings out sour cherries, vanilla, bourbon, wood, and vinous notes. Quite woody, with the cherries adding a wonderful complexity. Fairly acidic and vinegary, perhaps more so than the base beer. Great stuff.

On tap at the Barrel House. Pours a dark very red brown color with a small white head. I had a big glass of this, subsequently got buzzed quick. A huge nose of cherries, bourbon, rich wood. The flavor is mostly sweet totally natural cherries, vanilla, bourbon, very woody, light base stout elements, some tartness especially tart cherries. Wonderful beer. Superb palate. Overall, the heart of this is certainly the cherries. A beast.

04AUG12 - at barrel house. From the live cask. This beer blew my mind. I would pay $25 for 12oz of this, and buy a case. Seriously. Nice and dark brown with cherry hues. Flat appearing. (This beer will get inflated appearance score simply because I feel it deserves it based on the overall experience) The Nose is cherry - sweet, dark cherries. Sherry, oak, vanilla, tawny port, caramel, hints of sour cherries as well. I spent quite a bit of time in the glass of this beer. Then ordered more to share with the wife. I canít articulate the nose on this beer. Flavor was a blend of ruby and 10yr tawny ports, vanilla, cherry, slightly sour, leather, tobacco, tanning oils, slightly toasted sugars. Fuck, I donít know - the stuff you wanna taste - it was here. Full bodied with a viscous finish and velvety feel. Please, make more. Serving type: cask 08-07-2012
