Draft at uber. Pours a murky dark brown with a loose and creamy and very thin tan head. Big tangy date and and liquorice nose. Creamy medium body with minimal carb. Strawberry and date chocolatey mid palate, showing a little vinous tang on the finish, must be from the ginger.

Pours very dark with no head to speak of. Smell is a bit sour with a moderate amount of chocolate. Taste was about as sour as the smell. The chocolate and ginger didn’t really come through. Mid to light bodied. Interesting try, but I wouldn’t look for it again.

On tap at Cascade Tasting Room with mcberko. Pours a dark solid brown with a red tint. Aroma of ginger, chocolate, dark fruits, some marzipan, floral, cinnamon and nutmeg. Flavour of cocoa, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, dark fruits, plum and molasses. Nice.

On tap at Cascade Tasting Room, split with Matts_Property, pours a dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma of various spices, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, coriander and marzipan. Flavour of cocoa, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, brown sugar, plum and dark malts Much better than the nose suggests. Very enjoyable spiced ale.
