From bottle, Papsoes blindtasting #4. Pours hazy dark brown with a small off-white head. Dry malty and light oxidised aroma. Light metallic too. Citric and roasted malt flavoured. Cloudy amber brown beer. Crisp semi dry palate. Reasonably sour (ie not overly so) - fresh fruit, cherry, raspberry and of course a pinch of lemon. A little oak from the barrel and then a dry raspberry finish. Pleasant!

Bottle shared at CBC Clerkenwell during Paul’s Birthday Celebration - London. Thanks to the birthday man himself. Pours muddy amber with a creamy tan head. Definite notes of oxidation in the aroma, some toffee, berries, bread, a bit of leather. Light sweet flavor with ripened berries, moderate tartness, some brown bread, brown sugar, more toffee; less oxidation present in the flavor. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming finish, some further tangy berries, bready malts and brown sugar. I like the aged character here.
