Bottle shared by pmoney. Served in a FFF teku.
A: Pours a dark ruby color with a light tan head forming on the pour. It recedes to at thin ring that leaves some soapy lace behind.
S: Tart cherries with some light hints of bourbon. Sharp vinegar aspect to it with a oak barrel as well. Medium sweetness from malts run across the nose.
T: Cherry pie filling with tart cherry skins. Lactic sourness with some zingy vinegar notes. Sweet barrel finish with a combination of oak, vanilla and light bourbon.
M: Medium to light bodied, alcohol is well hidden with a zingy finish.
O: Sort of like a black cherry warhead in a sense with a less intense sour pucker. Zingy and tart with some sweetness from the barrel. Nice beer.

Huge thanks to Mora2000 for this delicious feast. 2011 Bottle, consumed in spring of 2013. Reddish brown pour. Aroma had cherries, wine, barrels, funk, tons of sourness and tartness. Flavor was enamel peeling sourness, tartness that would require some tums, cherries, cinnamon. Incredibly dry and thirst quenching, lively mouthfeel. Excellent, excellent beer!!

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Thanks to 5000 for sending me this bottle. Shared at the pre-BTBF tasting with some great out of town Ratebeerians who used to call the DFW Crew home.
Dark purple-brown color with a white head. The aroma is awesome. I get a lot of dark fruit and sour cherry notes, as well as tartness and light funk. The flavor is more of the same. I love the sour cherries and funk character as well as some toffee. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Amazing. Super pumped I got to try this one.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750ml cork and caged bottle shared by Dean on St. Pats. Poured a deep murky reddish/brown with an average sized foamy beige head. Aroma is odd, lots of sour cherry, some barf notes, wet wood and sand, earthy, old licorice and chocolate. Medium bodied with stronger carbonation and a long lingering sour aftertaste. Flavor of sour cherry, wet wood, earth, funk, lemons. Good stuff.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle 2011 project. Pour has a deep red amber color and a film of off white head. Aroma has tart cherry, dry acidity, oak, light bourbon, and yeast. Mouth feel is medium light with average carbonation. Flavor gets a hit of cherry, oak, dry bourbon, tannins, yeast, high acidity, and red grape skins. The base beer is nice and holds up to the treatment with a nice sweet and tart cherry. Grew on me as I drank the bottle.
