COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This easy drinking English style pub IPA is a nice balance of Crystal, Brewers Gold and Kent Goldings hops. Floor malted English malts follow, and Crystal and amber grains round it out. Notes of toasted biscuits and spice greet the palate, followed by a slight hop bite. At 5.4% ABV, this is a great beer with which to have a spirited discussion of the topic of the day.

Pale golden-amber pour. Tight lacing. A fruity sort of hoppiness but not much in the way of resin or bitterness. Light bitterness but an almost lime sort of tropical fruit flavour. Not a terribly punchy West coast IPA but its pleasant enough.

I think this is the beer called a spring IPA. A good workaday not to hoppy but hoppy enow IPA. Some floral in the flavour and a little naartjie in the aroma. Hop finish.

Barrel aged version on tap at the Barrel House. Pours a Muddy brown pour. Nice berry notes, some wood and a touch of citrus in the nose. Barrel, musty hops, smooth touch of biscuit come through in the flavor. Nice brew.

draft. medium caramel amber body, small off-white head. malt-forward nose (bread crust, malt extract syrup, light butter) with subdued hops (crusty, earthy, dried orange, wood oil). medium body; chewy and resinous but also soggy and flabby, lacking acid.
