UPDATED: NOV 13, 2012 Pours light brown dark orange with a very thin white head. Nose is lemon peel, coriander, vinegar, rose pedals and apples. Taste is complex. A wave of fluctuating bitter and sweet with an ever present sour through it all. Mouthfeel is soft and sticky, a bit like syrup addition, body is heavy and the finish is long. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The beer is light golden with a mild haze and a quarter inch of white head. Aromas include wild funk, yeast, stone fruit, apricot, pear, peach, oak. Dark fruit and gig character emerge more in the flavor. Absolutely delicious. Complex and wonderful. Puckering finish. An outstanding beer from Cascade.

World Cup Beer. Hazy dark golden with a small white head. Complex aroma with perfumed citrus and floral notes, bright funky character and oak. Sweetish, tart flavour with lots of fruit and funk. Good flavours, but a little bit too acidic

On tap at the brewpub - Pours light hazy yellow with a white head. The aroma has dark berries, wine, citric / vinegar acidity, citrus zest and some figs (by suggestion in the description?). It has a medium crisp body with semi-sharp carbonation and liveliness. The flavor starts off with white wine, sharp acidity, clean blond ale malt and some oakiness. The finish really shows the figs and lemon zest and seems a bit like herbal tea. This was quite nice.

Bottle from the brew house in Portland.
Pour is dark orange with no head. Smell is fairly oaky with vinous notes and vanilla. Very juicy body. Quite tart yet so smooth and drinkable. Notes of raspberry and peach. I did a double or triple take when I saw the alcohol content. 2014-06-03

Bottle 2012 project on the front label. Pour has a golden color with a fizzy white head. Aroma has oak, figs, mild acidity, and a touch of lemon. Mouth feel is medium and there is high carbonation. Flavor is more tart than expected, figs, dry chardonnay, oak, and lingering sourness into the finish.
