Bottle at Bruce’s, London. Thanks to Bruce for this Pacific NW rarity. Pours Lilly hazy gold with a slight, white foam head. Some tangy citrus in the nose, hints of herbs, light funk. Light to medium sweet flavor, some funk, apricots, orange and tangerine, moderate tang. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Decent sweetness to finish, further citrus, apricot, some peach, pleasant sourness. Very fresh and refreshing. Wonderful.

This was maybe the star of the bottle share for me. Aroma was bright and tart, lemon and apricot? Not really any fig aroma, nor taste. Taste is a very tart, but still very drinkable beer. Sour apple, lemon, greek yogurt. Unreal.

Bottle: The aroma consists of citrus, sour lemon, light tropical fruits, sour oak, and faint vinous notes. It pours a hazy dull orange with a two finger off-white head that fades to a very thin film. There is minimal lacing. The flavor starts with tart citrus, apricot, and tropical fruits. The finish has moderate-heavy tart/sour lemon, a touch of oak, and vinous notes. It’s light-medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation. Overall, intensely sour/tart and very tasty.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2013 Des notes de cidre de glace, lichee, citrons confits avec un sucre résiduel hautement le bienvenu. Acidité moyenne, très accessible et qui ajuste la rondeur avec doigté. Buvabilité furieuse.

On tap at Cascade’s Raccoon Lodge. It’s medium amber with a very fruity aroma. Taste is intense, with lots of everything: fruit, oak, and acidity. This is an awesome beer. A very nice sour.

Vinous sour aroma, maybe a slight earthy funk (figs???). Slight smell of triple base. Taste is quite sour. Maybe a 7 of 10 vinous. Fig and other flavors give a bit of a citrus like character. Very nice balance. I really like the tart vinous flavors with the bitter fruity flavors. A very nice combo.

Big thanks to Douglass88 for this one. Had this at the RB Pgh Halloween Spook-tacular Tasting/Drunkfest fall 2013, nice time at Hornydevil’s place, thanks James & Michelle! Big tart aroam. Makes the mouth water. Cloudy pale ale color with a tint of brown in there. Farmy all over flavors, yum. Yes farmy and slightly with a tad of acid burn. Never over the top, just like I like em. Not lots of co2 but yet there is this tart sizzle on the palate. Interesting yet unique. I liked this one, never over the top, just a big fun experience. Very like able.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle: Fiery orangish straw, pale haze, thin to moderate frothy white head, spotty lacing. Bright nose, tart, lemon zest, assertive wood, and faint white wine on the nose. Dry, tart, spunky chardonnay flavors on the tongue. Lemon infused flavors, zesty, bright, oak, woody, and extremely dry on the tongue. Very puckering, which adds to the appeal. Body and mouthfeel are fairly full bodied. Clean, not as complex as some of their other offerings, but while simple its well crafted. Bright, bubbley, tart, with a strong white wine aspect. Almost champagne like. Super dry on the finish, unripened fruit, tart, white grape strength. Another hit from Cascade. Oh so decadent in its sourness... as it should be. No one compares to this dryness. Well done Ron and Preston!

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This poured a darker yellow color with a white head. Aroma was lemon, fig, Brett and plastic. Flavor was moderately tart. Plastic taste is a bit offputting, and hard to get past to appreciate the other complexities of the beer.
