12 oz draft at Brouwers Cafe Sour Fest in Seattle, Washington. Pour is clear mahogany with only a thin off white head. Aroma is faint, I pick up on some caramel sweetness and lemon sourness. Taste is really full, a bit unexpected after the muted nose; cherry sour sweetness, tart yeastiness in the finish. Acidic throughout. This is a really nice Flanders Red. I have really enjoyed all of the Cascade beers I have tried. I guess you were right Rick.

Clear brown with a thin tan head. Nice sweet/sour caramel aroma with cherry. Mild to medium tart flavor here balanced by a caramel, dark raison, and cherry sweetness. A nice example of the style. Draft@Belmont Station.

On tap at Belmont Station’s Puckerfest 2008--Light muddy red body with a thin head. Sweet and malt balance. These are the type of beers this infected brewery should hang with. Yum.

On tap at Belmont Station during their Sourfest. Lighter semi-see through reddish brown hue. Little to no head. Light aroma of sour cherries blended with sweeter malts. Very nice and fairly well balanced sweetness starts the flavor of this. A medium bodied thick syrup coating rings true as the light essence of dark cherry, bits of orange, and a tart tangy finish come through. Definitely a decent sour for no-where Oregon, but I’m into my face puckering just a bit more. Good stuff though.

On tap at Raccoon Lodge. Pours hazy reddish brown with a lacy off-white head. Light body and light carbonation. Lightly sour nose, with cherries and fruit. Sweet-tart cherry lemon taste with a refreshing finish.

draft @ brouwer’s sour fest - dark, reddish brown with slight off-white head; slight tart to aroma, but mixed smoothly with cherries and cream; creamy texture gives way to tart cherries, but very pleasant and fuzzy; flavors of grain, yeast, fruit; dry finish; yummy
