COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A one-off seasonal from the brewery, this rich, full-bodied Porter is fresh-hopped with over six lbs per barrel of Nugget hops from the Weathers Family hop farm. The sweet, dark chocolate malt profile is balanced with a dank hop bite from the fresh hops. This beer is limited.

Tap at 16 Tons. Moderate brown pour, inch of off-white foam. Chocolate dominates taste and smell with an off putting earthen hop note not adding much to the table. Stick to the sours, guys.

Tap @ Cascade Barrel House... Near black poor with a thick, off-white head. Floral and resinous with hops tones. Slight roast, lots of grains, herbal spiciness, grass, charred woody characters. Sugar, cookie-dough, and roast came back in the finish.

On tap at Cascade Tasting Room, split with Matts_Property, pours a dark brown with a pronounced red tinge and small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, fresh hops and roasted malt. Flavour is more muted, with chocolate, roasted malt and a slight hop presence - kind of watery and thin on the palate. Good.

Draft at special brews. Pours black with a dense and creamy tan head. Loose sheety rings of lace. Nice roasty coffee and chocolate nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Roasty chocolate and coffee mid palate with a rich roasty finish. Great porter.

Draught . Dark brown pour with lasting off white head. Hoppy aroma with a chocolate note. Roasty flavour with a hop ring. Hop finish. I admit I have never knowingly had a fresh hop porter before.

Chestnut brown, thin lightly browned head. Charcoal roasty, tar, and black patent nose with cascade hope presence. Highly roasted flavor, tar and black patent, thick and chalky. Bitterish hop finish mingles through the roastyness. Passable, but this one just doesn’t work for me.

Nice deep black with a thin tan head that fades quickly. Aroma is standard porter (coffee, light chocolate) with a faint but distinctive presence fresh hop earthiness. An excellent porter with mellow notes of coffee and heavily malty, the fresh hops present themselves towards the end with their distinctive bright and piney bitterness. A wonderful take on a porter and a unique way to showcase fresh hops, excellently done.
