This NW style sour ale is a re-creation of a historic German beer style, spiced with coriander and sea salt to replicate the water in the town of Goslar where the beer originated.

Received 750 ml bottle via trade with 5000. Pours a hazed golden straw colored brew with a fast dissipating white head that dissipates clean. Aroma of coriander, a hint of sea salt, and a touch of lemon zest. Taste is medium bodied, mild funk with flavors of pear, earthy herbs, white pepper and sea salt. Finish has mild tart funkiness with some sea salt, pear and coriander aftertaste.

bottle shared by tom10101, thanks man! pours hazy if not cloudy pale yellow-greyish with a very nice off-white head, some retention and lacing. dusty lemons, fresh coriander and miscellaneous bitter herbs - very nicely integrated fragrant herbs, gently lactic - spot-on!, grassy and peppery, slight oakiness, salt and other mineral: traces. lively carbonation, light body - oily, balanced woodsy-grassy-spicy-herbal finish. very good!

Sour and slightly herbal nose (coriander). Hazy light pale yellow pour with a slight white head. One of the least sour Cascade sours that I have had. Really nice salty with some nice subtle coriander. Yummy.

Pour out of 750 ml bottle, hazy yellow pour with white head, aroma brought notes of coriander, phenolic notes, pepper, some bread, touch of pear and white grape. Taste is a mix of slight salt, lots of coriander, hints of lemon, bread, some hints of grain, finishing tart, dry. Pretty tasty, but a bit of

Bottle (750 ml). From kbudd19, thanks! Almost clear bright golden with a small persistent white head and little lacing. Aroma is quite interesting with light sourness, light sweetness, coriander, oak, lemon, hints of salt and light earthy notes. Taste is slightly sour with light sweetness, oak, coriander, lemon and hints of salt. Medium body (heavy for the style, but not too heavy either). Moderate carbonation. Clean. Very light salty finish. Dry. A bit heavy for the style, but mightily tasty, drinkable and quenching. I love it.

Bottle. Pale slightly cloudy blond wit decent white head. Aroma feels fresh: lemon, white flowers and coriander. Taste is addictive with a well-dosed salt presence along with a lemony and also lactic sourness. Appropriate med-lively carbonation. As good as it can get for a American interpretation of a german style.
