Off the zwickel for Zwickelmania 2014 at Cascade Barrel House. Color of limeade. Soured lemonade and ginger aroma. Very balanced and lightly soured lemonade and ginger flavor. Refreshing.

04AUG12 - at barrel house This shit was amazing. Golden ale with a rim of loose white foam. Nose was lime, ginger, tart lemons, a nice mix I’d easily pair with Tom Kha Gai any day of the week. Flavor is ginger, ginger and then lime leaves, tart lacto, some melon sweetness and a good dose of... sweet limes. The sour character is reserved for Cascade, and rightfully so. This beer is outstanding and the sleeper for my wife and I. A bit thin with lower carb and a good, mouth watering finish. I sincerely delicious beer they’ve done more than once, and should consider making an annual release. Serving type: on-tap 08-07-2012

Tap at Cascade. Pours a muddy, opaque peach with wispy white foam. Nose is crazy lime yogurt, bright and salty, ginger spice. On the line between amazing and way too sweet/candy like. Taste is sweet, spicy, dense, salty, big ginger and lime, mojito mixed drink like. Sweet, creamy palate. Interdasting...

On tap at the brewery. They nailed this one. Perfect balance of sourness, ginger/lime. Pleasant ginger aroma. Lavender floral honey - exactly what it says it is. Remarkably well constructed. Lime comes in late. Never had anything like it. Just a slight tartness. Strange but very drinkable. 8.4

Sampled at the Barrel House. This one is a hazy orange with a minor ring of head. Loads of ginger and honey in the aroma. Loads more in the taste! Lime is harder to pick out, but if I had a bigger measure I might manage it. Quite dry and not too sour. Definitely one of the best Cascade beers I sampled with a great combination of flavours.

On tap at the Barrel House. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A very big nose of ginger and lime- clearly so. The flavor is similar with very low tartness, wood, a big spicy ginger citrus and lime finish. Very good. This is exactly as this should taste like, and is very drinkable and authentic.

Poured from the tap. Hazy yellow with dissipating white head. Light ginger nose with light honey and citrus. Predominant sweet lime and ginger flavour, mild sweetness. Medium body.

On tap at the Portland Barrel House. Cloudy orangish yellow pour with head and lacing. Aroma was honey, citrus, ginger and spice. Taste was lime and spice initially, sweet honey was in the background and a strong ginger finish. Pretty good, but just a bit too much ginger for me.

Draft at the barrelhouse. Very strong ginger nose and flavor. Drying finish. Subtle honey character. Noticeable alcohol but not overpowering. Lime comes through as it warms a bit. Overall a great beer.
