COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cascade Brewing IPA is hoppy and bitter with a nice sweet malt finish. Slow dry hop conditioning brings out the herbal hop aromas.

Tap at Cascade Barrel House, PDX, 22/05/13 @5.7% ABV. Lightly hazed golden amber with a thin white head. Nose is caramel malt, hops, light pine, citrus. Taste comprises hops, touch pine, caramel malt, sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light hop bitterness in the finish. Ok drinkable fayre but a pretty entry level kind of IPA.

Apricot colored beer. Really a nice mix of oranges and resin. Not overly bitter, but fresh and vibrant.

Sample at the Barrel House. Clear orange color with a medium bone white head that recedes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of citrusy hops and toasted malt. The finish is lightly bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

2010-06-26. Golden body, modest beige head. 3+ Flavour is modestly hoppy, light leafy notes. 6+ Aroma is similar, moderate leafy hop profile is nice but mild. 6+ Average palate is a touch light. Enjoyable but lacks oomph. On Tap at Raccoon Lodge, Portland.

Draft at Whole Foods PM. Pours clear dark straw with minimal off-white head. Nose is hoppy, pale malt, citrus. Tastes hoppy, with spare pale malt, peppery florals. Finishes clean with no flaws and a smooth finish.

On tap at Cascade, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out subtle floral hops and bland biscuity malt. Flavour brings out extremely bland floral hops and a big biscuity malt backbone. Very boring and barely passes off as a pale ale let alone an IPA. Drinkable but boring.

On tap @ the brewpub. Parksy ordered this, but I think I drank more than my share, lol! Hazy medium golden, soft white head. Nice pine and citrus profile, sweet malts, medium body, nice bitterness. Solid PNW IPA.

[2956-20100626] Tap. Mild plastic aroma, not much of anything. Clear, pale orange yellow body with a quick foamy white head. Bitter citrus yeast flavour has mild yeast notes. Mild bitter medium body. Nice bitter, could bring about more bulk.

On tap at the Barrel House. Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. A sweet grassy and fruity nose. The flavor is simple and clean; earthy, fruity, fairly dry, light and easy. Decent.

"I was surprised by the high quality of cascades non sours, but this iPa was pretty standard. Didn’t do anything wrong, just didn’t do anything at all to stand out. Moderate bitter and citrus, with mild herbals.
