Tap at Cascade Barrel House. 2013. Deeper brown, creamy tan foam. Tart sip, solid jammy raspberry. Good funk, solid sour. Fruity full body. Lovely. Not as sour as most.

Bottle, 2011 project. Pours hazy reddish burnt umber, small lasting beige head that laces well. Aroma is oaky, fruits, some toffee, a hint of tart cherry, light funky damp basement. Flavor is medium tart and lightly funky, fruity and very oaky, almost vinous. Medium body, acidic finish. Quite tasty after all this time.

Their best sour, perhaps there most common...big huge cherries, some wine and Brett. Champagne like carbonation bringing out more cherries and sour fruits. Great fruity tart finishing balance.

Deep red tart cherry aromas. Thick brownish red colors no head. Smooth sour dark cherries flavor with a little zip in the finish. Lasting sour pockets hidden in your mouth after the sip is gone.

Bottle. Mahogny dark red in color with virtually no head. Sour berries, notes of cherries and malts in aroma. Some wood and funkiness too. Nice indeed. Tart, good tasting. Sour notes, more cherries, bit of toast and oaky vinegar in taste. Funky and earthy notes too. Ends quite dry with even some lemony notes behind the cherries. Excellent.

Bottle, shared by a kind soul, in a location remote of my dining room.
Pours a dark red with a small head.

The aroma is rich and very cherry forward, itís got lemon, itís got sour cherries, itís got some more cherries. Itís mildly funky.

The flavor is very sour, itís woody, itís intensely lemony with lots of sour cherry character. Itís dry, gracious itís sour.

I get why folks dig this, I think I would have thought it was heavenly 5 years ago... but its just so damn sour. Itís a good beer, but toning down the sourness could only help itís cause.

This brewery knows how to do sour wild ales. Thus cherry bomb rapes the nose. Seems you can smell the different cherries. Flavor is funky tart and cherries wil a cedar oak background.
