3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 SlovakSniper (1154) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 9, 2011
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 hoosiers1994 (561) - Maryland, USA - AUG 30, 2011
Bottle poured into a snifter. Pours a murky brown color with minimal white foam that dissipates. Aromas are sour cherry, oak, and yeastiness. Taste is tart and crisp, with cherry dominating the palate. The oak also comes into play, but the tart long finish is mostly cherry. Overall, a very satisfying sour ale. Would love to have more

2009 Bottling. 750ml corked + caged bottle into a tulip glass.
A - Dark ruby red body. Creamy light khaki head. Nice lacing and retention.
S - The weakest part of the beer for me. Sour cherries, vinegar, and sun screen lotion. The smell is a bit light.
T - Sour cherries and some oak. Really mouth puckering. Not that complex or interesting. The mouth feel is very similar to other Flanders, smooth and velvety while remaining well carbonated and lively.
O - Not a bad stab at the flanders style by an American brewery. I was shocked to find this on the shelves as I didn’t know they had some distribution in Massachusetts. I’m intrigued to try the other Cascade wilds now.

Bouteille de 750ml, bouchon de liège, prix exorbitant. 2010. 8/10
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 anders37 (9280) - Malmö, SWEDEN - AUG 16, 2011
Bottle. Pours a hazy pale reddish color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity sour tart vinegar cherry aroma. Fruity sour tart cherry flavor. Has a fruity sour tart woody cherry finish.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 rtbrmn88 (12) - USA - AUG 13, 2011
A: pour reddish brown with a large bubbled finger of off white head. Does leave some small spots of lacing.
S: very tart aroma at first, then that leads to a slightly sweet cherry, also the dryness of tart cherries.
T: initially and while very cold its all sour. But as it warms the sourness seems to subside and dry tart cherries, sweet cherrys and a small amount of sweet malt start to show. Nice long lingering tart cherry sourness
M: tart and drying, good carbonation
O: continuing my liking of sour ales I like this one alot. The last few sips seem more like a gueuze to me.
