Fantastic! Cherry flavors? I don’t know --- it’s just a fantastic flavor, light sourness - perfect!

Thanks to Dan for this unexpected treat. 2010 vintage picked up at the brewery. Really nice looking cherry red with a big frothy white head. No sediment, but I also got the first pour! Smells like juicy sour cherry pie. The taste is so perfectly balanced and sour. Cherries were well pronounced and far surpassed my expectations. This is my number one sour for sure. So awesome. Must get more!

This is one of the best sour ales i’ve ever had. Bitingly sour at first before mellowing out to a wonderful flavor. I’m usually disappointed by the lack of sour in american sours, but this lived up to it’s billing and more. great stuff.

This is one incredibly sour beer. It hurt my cheeks. I was shocked to have missed this one. So good, with lots of cherries in the nose and taste. Sour, Sour, Sour. Great! Love it!

I happened to stumble upon this one in Deland on a beer trip with my family. I come to love sours a lot and this one really blew me away. The aroma had a lot of sour cherries with a little bit of oak as well. The flavor was super tart and fruity. The fruit flavors were balanced really well and everyone I shared it with seemed to really enjoy it.

2008 750ml bottle into snifter. Pours a dark red copper with small pink/beige head. Aroma is sour cherries, lilac, subtle honey, and gueuze - can tell this will be good by the smell alone. Taste is tart tart sour cherries, grapes, lemon/lime citrus on a bed of oak - sour as can be and I love it! Very crisp carbonation, which is great considering the distance this bottle traveled. Excellent Kriek, probably the best I’ve had.

Bottle
Pours a deep, muddy tea brown with an aroma of wet cedar and leafy cherries taken from the earth after a light rain in October. Flavor is cherry cedar, cherry, limeade, and lemon juice. Oily mouthfeel. Wow.

Tasted on 5/9/11 from a 75omL corked and caged bottle obtained in a trade, 2009 vintage. Pours clear light red wine color with a thick pink-tinted head that slowly recedes to uneven lacing. The nose is super sour natural cherry along with a good dose of citrus, lightly sweet aged balsamic, with a good amount of vanilla oak. The flavor is very similar with the sour notes coming through as more citrus along with the natural cherry, a hint of aged balsamic, and vanilla oak tannin. The body is light with lively carbonation and a super long citrus, cherry, and tannic vanilla oak finish.

theres nothing wrong with my eye! .. . pours a murky brown, light sturn foam .. . $5000? exsqueeze me? a baking powder??.. . nice cherry presence, light funkiness, and more cherry .. . a wonderful kriek style brew and could be used to intro people into funkers .. . We’ll run through these with a fine-toothed comb, cross the Ts and dot the... lower-case Js.
