750 ml waxed and capped bottle purchased mail order directly from the brewery. Pour is a murky mahogany with a 2 inch off brownish-red head. Falls with decent lacing. Aroma of sweet floral perfume and cherries. Musty vanilla. Mild sourness. Wonderful, balanced and engaging nose. Taste is vanilla, oak wood, tart cherries and more of the soft floral sweetness. Everything is exceptionally integrated and balanced. The cherry is really fresh and brightly tart, not in your face sour, just beautifully melded with the rest of the flavors. Wow, this is really good. Palate is medium, clean and nicely carbonated. Aftertaste coats the mouth and lingers perfectly. This beer does not hit you over the head on any element, just beautifully crafted. Thanks for starting mail order, Cascade!

Bottle from DarkElf. I love sour beers. I love cherry beers. I love sour cherry beers. Red amber color. Small mixed bubble head. Nice mild cherry aroma. Smooth, mellow. Super easy to drink. Low sourness. Sweetish. Excellent.

And I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free. And I wont forget the men who died, who gave that right to me. Bottle. Deep brown to mahogany colored with garnet showing when backlit. Large and lingering brownish red head, fantastic lacing. Very clear on first pour. Well carbonated. Cherry and wood notes in aroma, bits of the funk float around. Seemed a bit medicinal/artificial on first sniff but settles into a more woody tone later. Light bodied and well carbonated on the palate. Cherry flavor with woody notes in taste, brett notes also. Lingering tartness is pleasant. Really well done, I enjoyed this quite a bit. I’m gonna take my time She gon’ get hers before I I’m gonna take it slow I’m not gon’ rush the stroke

Appearance: Pours an opaque, garnet-hued body with a thin, ivory-colored head. Smell: Fine aroma smelling of pound cake, slight oaky notes, and simply teeming with cherry goodness. Taste: Plenty of juicy cherry flavor with a light flourish of acidity and a thin vein of sweetness. Handful of cake crumbs. Delicate oaken character throughout. Long, fruity finish with a faint hint of vanilla. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation. Drinkability: Quite nice! Pleasantly fruity and all kinds of refreshing. I certainly enjoyed this one more than I thought I would.

From the 1.5L bottle at the brewery. Pours dark red/brown with a soft white head. Big cherry nose, fresh and tart, with a light acidity and oaked nose. Flavor is very similar, lightly fizzy body, the carbonation brings the cherry to life, some nice estery qualities from the yeast all blends together with a refreshing tart finish. Often these beers can go overboard with the fruit flavor and feel one sided, this gained a lot of complexity from the barrel aging, drying it out a bit and giving it more earthy character.
