Stone Sour Fest. Pours a hazy orange with no head. Aroma of a citrus orchard at harvest with fruit having dropped and slightly fermented. More honey as well. Taste is almost as if this were a slightly sour orange/citrus mead. Bourbon barrel notes and some floral character. Nice overall.

Taste at Stone Sour Ale Fest 2012. Clear dark orange pour, small bubbly head. Sweet, bourbony, orange, strong acidic sourness, paint remover, and some tart citrus. Pretty good in small quantity, but this is a big strong sour.

Pours orange in color with a small head. Definitely get a sweet orange aroma to this. There’s also a definite acetone note, which kind of ruins it. Some bourbon and vanilla redeem it a little bit. Only a mild tartness. The flavor is much better than the aroma. A subtle tartness to go with a pronounced sweetness of the bourbon/vanilla, orange, and honey flavors. Interesting beer, too bad the aroma was not enjoyable.

Taster. On tap at Cascade Brewing Barrel House. This is the "Blender’s Reserve spiced blond quad, aged in Maker’s Mark barrels for 16 months, and then spiced with orange peel and honey". A one-off treat, one barrel only. Amazing fresh, harsh citrus aroma w/ featherings of malt. Big rude bubbles rising through a dusky orange face. Tart +alpha!!! Sharp orange flavors with honey and spices. Very long sour finish. Hard to evaluate. Light body with tart, spicy flavors in the finish. An exceptional fresh one!
