Two decades of brewing beer in Central Oregon deserves a mighty celebration. To help us do just that, we’ve created our finest, limited-edition IPA. It’s brewed in our new 25-barrel brewhouse, in Redmond’s first and finest craft brewery, using only local ingredients. We’re proud of our humble beginnings and raise a glass to you… Thanks for enjoying Cascade Lakes for 20 years. Cheers!

Bottle:   Amazing looking IPA, darker orange, moderate to large foamy sandy colored head, very nice lacing.   Very soft hops on the nose.   Seems moreso a biscuit sort of aroma with very faint pithy bitterness.   Similar on the tongue, not a very hoppy example.   I get more graininess and biscuit notes than I do any sort of hop aspect.   Does have a little bit of soft pithy background.   Finishes witha bit of a earthy and grainy jaunt, then with a bit of a pithy aftertaste.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Looks great, but comes across as very mild with more malt characters than hop.   Smooth, but damnit... needs to have more hop character and less malt.

Bottle: Light golden color topped with a large creamy white head. Tons of sticky sheet lacing. Aroma is very PNW… lots of citrus and pine. Dank hops. Potent and inviting. Taste is a bit dry and floral, dusty. Lingering bitters. Some grapefruit and faint sweetness, but also a little soapy. The nose is really strong and nice, but the taste falls a little short. It’s not bad, but better flavor development could have been a homerun.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tumbler on 10.27.14. A: Lots of grapefruit and orange. Mango is there too. A: 1 finger head. Hazy orange body. T: Grapefruit and orange dominate. Pine, candied mango, and hop resin are subtle. P: Crisp and nicely bubbly. O: This is a bit rough, but solid, IPA. It did feel a bit flat in the mouth, even though it had plenty of bubbles. The Citra hops really make this one.

Bottle from Fred Meyer. Hazy golden /amber in color. Big pungent hop nose. Spiced/citrus hop notes up front. Hops and a sweet fruitiness as well. Pretty hoppy, but not great in flavor.

Citrus, pine, caramel and a hint of spice. Light bitterness throughout. Hoppy resin in the middle. Solid IPA finish. Tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not sure why a single ipa is deserving of a 20th AV, but that said...this is likely the best beer I've had from them. Nicely balanced bitter and sweet. Grapefruit and light pine. Good body for a regular old ipA.

12-oz. Thanks, C! Pours a lightly hazy pale gold with a loose whitish head. Nice sweet biscuity piney nose. Creamy medium body with soft carb. Lightly toasted caramel, biscuits, and pine on the mid palate. Soft sweetish finish.
