spikester (438), Salem, Oregon, USA Apr 13, 2008 Pours golden color with small head and good lacing. Nice floral aroma.
Flavor is very well balanced and smooth. Not for hop-heads though. Enough hops to match the slightly sweet malts.
Palate is average.
Overall a very nice session beer. Well recommended for the style. Will buy more. Downside is it’s a bit hard to find. 5000 (2400), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA Mar 30, 2007 Bottle: Dirty yellow, some sediment, large foamy white head, fairly nice lacing.   Soft sweet & sour fruit nose, pale malts.   Tangy, slightly sour start.   This is more Gueuze like than an American Wheat, if thats what was intended.   I just happen to like sour.   Spritzy mouthfeel, moderate body.   Enjoyable, if simple.   Faily clean otherwise.
Angeloregon (2002), Portland, Oregon, USA Feb 1, 2008 Sampled at Bailey’s Taproom in Portland, Oregon--Light yellow-gold body with no noticeable head. Mild sweet, fruity nose. Flavor unbelievably reminiscent of Shredded Wheat cereal. Crisp and madly sessionable. Not much residual flavors in finish, but not too bad. SuzyGreenberg (1028), Seattle, Washington, USA Jan 14, 2008 sampled @ cascade lodge (bend) - clear yellow with no head; slightly sweet aromas mixed in with stale wheat; drinks smooth, just not much going on the flavor department Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA Mar 8, 2005 Light gold with a filmy white head and thick stringy lacing. Lightly lemony for the citrus. Mild malts. Not a lot here in the nose, maybe a bit musky. Musky malts and lemons come out again. Decent body with a citrus and bitter tail.
