Sampled from nitro at Bier Stein. Pours a clear gold with a thick white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces beautifully. Aroma combines flora and citrus with a light grain backing. Flavor has grass and bitter citrus note with a bit if bread and light grains supporting.

smells of mashed up paper and lumber. tastes much better. nice bite but doesn’t overwhelm the more pleasant lightness of being of the malts.

Opened the bottle and poured a dark straw liquid with an off-white head about a finger deep. The aroma is bright grapefruit and skunky pine and pulling on the brew brings a flavor equal to the brew. The palate is bitter, flat and boring, the carbonation doing nothing to accentuate any of the aroma, and it seems to be dragging the flavor through, almost kicking and screaming. Not a fan, but it’s drinkable really, but only if I didn’t have another choice.

12oz bottle in a tulip. Pours hazy amber with a white head. Aroma of bitter hops, lots of caramel and pale malts, and dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not good.

One of the few IPAs that I have tried that I really did not like. There was an odd finish to the beer that I could not nail down. I would not buy this again.

Bomber from Walmart. Fresh batch @ 7.1%. Very light amber in color. Nose is somewhat light on the hops, with a sweet fruitiness dominating. Grapefruit peel up front, along with a decent amount of sweetness. Pretty well balanced maltiness. Finish is pretty much grapefruit peel. Very drinkable and well balanced.

The world is full of IPAs, full of dull IPAs indistinguishable from each other. It makes you want to even stop trying. Then something actually decent comes along when you quit looking. This beer was one of those. Picked up this beer just because it was a single in a local grocery store. Poured it half thinking it would soon be poured down the drain. But it was actually good, fun, something I liked and happy to have enjoyed. 12oz bottle. Golden color. Not a lot of lacing. Lemon hops, lemony tea biscuits, ad a slightly sweet raisin bread character. A nice mix of bright lemony hops and a slightly sweet maltiness. Neither too much, well balanced.

Tap at Cascade Lakes Lodge, Bend, Clear dark amber with a thin off white head that clears to a film. Nose is hops, orange pith, caramel malt, light pine. Taste comprises bitter grapefruit, orange pith, hops, touch of pine, grassy notes. Medium bodied with a little balls, fone carbonation, hop bitterness in the finish. Decent enough IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On nitro at Bend pub. Pours out a crisp golden topped with a white head. Nose is sweet caramel malts and a nice hop nose. Taste is more of the sweet malts a nice mellow hop end.
