Another diamond in the rough found courtesy of slikwily! Cascade Lakes' IPA entry makes for a great session beer, if an IPA can technically be one! Hops are evident in the aroma, but not overwhelmingly so. Average-sized, off white head. Cloudy, dark orange body. Excellent lace. Nice sharp hop flavor with a perfect sweetness level. Quite well balanced. If I lived in Oregon, this might be my go-to brew.

Bottled. Typical West Coast IPA. Good amount of hop flavor and very heady as someone said before.

Great aroma with lots of fruity apple esters. Very heady. Lots of hops all around, I'm not sure what type. Good beer, good brewery.

Nice amber color, tall head that last's for quite a long time.Malty sweet aroma with a nice hop presence, and a light spiciness as well.Nice flavor with malt and spice with the hops coming through loud and clear,a very refreshing brew.the after taste was mildly spicey with a slight hop bite at the end.Much better then there ale,I'm glad i have a second bottle for later. This is a fine brew.

Gusler (2654) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - MAR 4, 2003
Another big head beer from the Northwest, this time a Cascade Lakes IPA, excessive in size, frothy, beige, and the lace after a lustrum of dissipation is a nice covering sheet. Light hop floral tones first up, followed by the malt sweetness, fresh and clean to the senses, start is also quite sweet, laden with malt, the top average in feel. Finish has a perky hop spicy bite, the acidity moderate, the aftertaste dry and quite long lasting. Decent IPA, more reminiscent of the English than American IPA, but that’s not a bad thing.

Nice hop aroma, with a reddish body and big head that diminished rather quickly. Had no idea it was 6.8% at the time, as the nice infusion of hops overwhelmed any alcohol taste. Nicely bitter hop finish.

Medium copper color, very large head. Malty and very hoppy. Very flavorful. Smooth taste. Malts are slightly sweet. Hops are flavorful and slightly spicy, in the middle range of hoppyness for an IPA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter
