very nice dark brown or rather black color, small tan head that faded pretty fast.Malty sweet aroma with strong hints of coffee.Malty taste with a nice medium carbonation, definatley has some coffee in it but nothing real strong pretty mild, with a mild hop presence.some light hints of chocolate and possible caramel as well. The feel is slightly watery but still pretty decent the after taste was mildly sweet with roasted malt and and mild hops, coppeled with some hints of semi-sweet chocolate. Not a bad brew at all,in fact it's damn good and very highly drinkable.

From the tap at the brewery. Pours black with deep red edges. Nice tan foam with good lacings. Aroma is nutty with roasted malt and earthy hops. Medium light body with mild black bitterness. Leaves a slightly dry but clean finish.

355ml bottle pours a dark brown color with a finger of light beige head that leaves some thin spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is dominated by chocolate malts with some roasted notes. Taste is lots of chocolate malt sweetness with some roasted bitterness and mild hop bitterness as well. A little thin on body for the style and lightly carbonated. However, this is still a fine porter and was very tasty and easy going down.

Dark brown, light brown head. Light-to-medium body. Aroma is a little nutty, milk chocolate, coffee, and roast, all in balance Flavor is the same with a light touch of clean malt/caramel sweetness. A bit light on flavor, but it grows on you as you drink, mainly due to the excellent balance and complexity. A very good sessionable porter.

Root beer body with paper thin chocolate head. Enticing, saliva-inducing aroma of roasted barley and chocolate with dark toasted malt and hints of charcoal and nuts Dry, roasty and nutty body. A bit thin and with a metallic twang, but overall, good stuff.

pours deep black in color. they are not lying on the label about the chocolate. it is everywhere in this beer from the aroma to the first sip to the last sip. some roasty notes sneak in here and there as does a little bit of bitterness.

Shipped to me by my wife on a trip to Portland. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a small tan head that produced some lacing. The aroma was dry and roasty with notes of vanilla, chocolate and anise. The flavor was dry, bitter and very roasty with faint coffee, anise and vanilla. The finish was long, dry, very bitter and very roasty. Medium to thin body. Not my style but ok.

Draught at the brewhouse in Redmond. Very dark brown with a lacey beige head. Toasty malt and light chocolate in the aroma. Some chocolate flavors but thin and papery with ozidation. Light hops and alcohol. This body. A pretty weaj porter. Suffers from a lack of malt character just like the brown, but also tastes oxidized.

A dark brown beer with a pretty good looking head. The aroma had a slight roastedness, & chocolate. The taste had chocolate, was a little Cokeish.
