Portland, Or - John’s Marketplace - 12 oz bottle. Murky, dark golden pour with a soft white head that leaves a fair trace of lacing. Fruity aroma with a hint of spearmint and spruce. Flavor has a nice fruity essence to it with nectarines being the most prominent. Bitter grapefruit notes in the back end with a hint of butter. Sticky mouthfeel. Very enjoyable and refrreshing after a day at Mount Rainier.

12 oz bottle from: mainbrew.com
Visual: Pours a clear deep gold to light amber. Frothy white head with good lacework.
Nose: Citrusy hops and caramel and biscuit malt fragrance.
Palate: Light to medium body, a touch of touch of bready sweetness which balances the moderate citrusy hops.
Conclusion: A good all around everyday pale ale. Nothing to exciting here, but at the same time, no real flaws to speak of.

biscuit malt aroma with some some sunny dry hops, light all around. clear watery gold, bare minimum head. i agree with glkaiser here, it’s very light and somewhat lacking. Small amounts of shortbread dough, not much else to notice.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 glkaiser (1214) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 17, 2009
Pours a golden color with a thin layer of foam. Light aroma of peach and citrus hops. The taste is balanced with light malt and some fruity esters. It comes across as a bit too thin and lacking some flavor, even for 5.1% ABV. But, it’s a fine beer to crack after a hike up a mountain.

Pale gold pour with a middling head. Aroma is a mixture of malt and hop with a bit of a floral scent thrown in for good measure. Pretty decently hopped for an APA, but the flavor is a bit muddy and there is definite room for improvement.
