Oakes (8072), gone rambling, Vietnam Jan 26, 2006 Draught @ Bier Stein, Eugene
Dull light beige colour. The aroma is hoppy - pineapple, hay, mango and lemongrass. Cool. A fairly sweet kiss of pale malt is there but also a noted honey accent. Tropical fruity hop with a slight grapefruity bitter backbone. mj (4975), Colorado, USA Jan 12, 2005 Draft at the Lodge in Bend. Sharp hop bite throughout, with a sweet pine start that turns quickly to a musty wood and bread. Spicy hop nose... close to being an IPA... light orange color, almost gold/yellow. Body is light and fluffy. BückDich (4793), McCall, Idaho, USA Mar 9, 2005 Sampled draught at Cascade Lakes Lodge, Bend Yellow gold, nice head. Nose of light hops & dominant malts. Flavor is well balanced & surprisingly full bodied for a pale ale. Finishes piney, good!
anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden Dec 24, 2008 Draft @ 7th St Brewhouse, Redmond, OR. Pours a clear pale yellow color with a small white head. Has a malty pine hoppy aroma. Sweetish malty hoppy piny flavor. Has a slightly sweetish malty pine hoppy finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste. bhensonb (4189), Woodland, California, USA Jul 3, 2008 Bottle. Light aromas of pale malt, floral and resin hops. Golden color with a so-so white head. Medium plus body with a creamy carbonation. Flavor is floral hop over light malt. It is really balanced, and very pleasing. Refreshing. Good to drink. beerguy101 (3861), Newark, California, USA Oct 20, 2006 This pale ale pours an orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is herbal and floral hops, some lemongrass as well. A medium to lighter bodied American Pale Ale. Malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. Hops are floral and a touch citrusy. Nice balance. Nice orange citrusy highlights. Nice drinking APA. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA Feb 11, 2006 This is one of the most boring beers in appearance of all time. The aroma is nice though, very fragrant floral with alot of fruit showing through as well. The maltiness is very well balanced as are the hops. This was a very easy to drink pale ale. No complaints. IrishBoy (2686), Bakersfield, California, USA Apr 12, 2009 Sample taster at John’s Market Place. Nose of flowery hops with a touch of caramel and pine. Clear yellow with a small white head. Flavor has some bitterness with the caramel.
