troopie (851), USA May 19, 2008 Bottle. Poured deep gold with foamy white head. Lekker floral and piney aroma. Full hop flavour, pine, flowers and a bit of malt. Lingering hop finish leaving you to want more. This is hoppy like an IPA but not so strong. spikester (602), Salem, Oregon, USA Apr 18, 2008 Pours copper-amber with an average off-white head, good lacing. Aroma is huge with lots of piney hops. Flavor is subdued and balanced for an APA. Looking for a session APA? Give this a try. Relatively low abv at 5.1% good balance for the type and no bad attributes at all. A session APA if there was one. A good transition brew for your Macro lovin buddies too. I enjoyed it for sure. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA Feb 11, 2006 This is one of the most boring beers in appearance of all time. The aroma is nice though, very fragrant floral with alot of fruit showing through as well. The maltiness is very well balanced as are the hops. This was a very easy to drink pale ale. No complaints. IndianaRed (1553), Boise, Idaho, USA Jun 15, 2007 On tap at the Lodge. Clear yellowish light amber. Thin off white head. Spotty lacing. Nice bright hoppy aroma. Balanced malty and citrusy hop flavor. Snapppy hop flavor and not too heavy. Nice. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA Nov 6, 2006 Finally something a little different than the rest of the APAs. Orange body. Aroma is grapefruit and pine, but also some citrusy spicy hops with more notes of fruity goodness. An enjoyable APA. mj (4975), Colorado, USA Jan 12, 2005 Draft at the Lodge in Bend. Sharp hop bite throughout, with a sweet pine start that turns quickly to a musty wood and bread. Spicy hop nose... close to being an IPA... light orange color, almost gold/yellow. Body is light and fluffy. carboloader (318), Houston, Texas, USA Jul 4, 2008 Visited the Brew pub in Bend, OR. Pours light copper with white head. Flavor is fruity hops, some malt (apricot?), not very piney, but has a delicious bitter finish. BückDich (4793), McCall, Idaho, USA Mar 9, 2005 Sampled draught at Cascade Lakes Lodge, Bend Yellow gold, nice head. Nose of light hops & dominant malts. Flavor is well balanced & surprisingly full bodied for a pale ale. Finishes piney, good!
