Bottle. Aromas, very light, of pale malt and citrus? hop. Brassy gold color with a head that went so fast I didn’t notice the color. Medium, almost, body with lightly fizzy carbonation. It’s a bit caramel biscuit with some hop, but not much. This stuff is so light it’s probably balanced. Actually the flavor improves with a few swallows; the bitter builds a bit; maybe this is the crisp finish advertised. Could be a session ale.

Clear medium yellow with a white head. Grainy sour bread and banana flavor. Good frothy texture but not a great flavor, sour grains and wet dog.

Nice gold color, light head & lacing. Nose of pale malt & vinous yeast. Very light in both body & flavor. Tangy. Blech!

Medium gold color, medium head. A medium bodied golden ale. Fairly malty and somewhat hoppy. Lots of flavor. Bit of a hop bite for a golden ale. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. A little bit over carbonated.

Bottle: Golden in color, moderate white frothy head, spotty lacing, very light carbonation.   Straw and oats on the nose.   Sweet straw grass flavors, heavy pale malts, very little hop presense.   Slightly grainy, a little bit barnish/musty.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Finish is a little rough, but remains with the sweet straw and oats.   Not half bad, quite malty, but not as crisp as other examples.

This dark yellow ale poured with a decent white head and a sweet malty aroma. There is a light malty aroma that is rather unremarkable and a sharp hoppy finish.

[Draft - Bend, Oregon] Golden color wht a nice head. I liked the flavors and found out this was the first recipie for this place. SO a lot of work when into this and the malt and hops balance was very nice. Easy to drink session beer.

I sampled this beer at King Estate Winery in Lorane, Or. This beer is a lot lighter than I had expected before the pour. You would think with a name like rooster it would be slightly reddish. Not at all, Very light. Golden in color. Light bodied. very basic, but refreshing.

Sample taster at John’s Market Place. Nose was just some grainy sweetness. Clear gold with a medium white head. Flavor just some sweetness. and only a tiny touch of bitterness.
