Commercial Description:
Runaway Imperial I.P.A. has a strong hop presence in both its aroma and bitterness. With higher alcohol level then our IPA, it also has a nice warming effect for these cold winter days, balanced out with a nice malt flavors.

Tap @ Belmont Station... Poured nice, cloudy orange with a thick white head, nice lacing. Aroma is zesty with maybe brown sugar and sweet lettuce and hops. Lots of carbonation and a foamy mouthful. Strong hop flavors dominate the other chalky, grassy and earthy flavors. Crisp finish.

On tap at Belmont Station in Portland, OR--Poured a rich amber body with a medium-sized fluffy white head. Earthy, piny, spicy, floral nose. Some caramel notes, but nothing substantial. Nice zest and hop aesthetic. Not so bitter. Moreso fruity. Quite good.

KLCC brew fest ’07. I wasn’t to impressed with this IIPA, started with a good malt base, but the hops were to green and there wasn’t enough floral hop flavor. The bitterness was balanced well with the malts, but I just needed more finish hops. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a thin white head.

Clear gold with a nice laced white head, nose is hops and alcohol, malty and not overly hoppy, syrupy alcohol
