Commercial Description:
Pronounced “vice” this is a genuine example of a traditional German wheat beer. Through the use of a special strain of yeast from Germany we have been able to create a truly outstanding wheat beer. With hints of banana, clove, and even pineapple, this beer doesn’t need to be served with a lemon! What could be better on a warm fall day than a German sausage, a little sauerkraut and a pint of our Weiss. Prost!

on tap at the Lodge. Slightly hazy very light yellow with a thin skin of a creany white head. Thin persistant lacing. Nice up front aroma of light pale malts and lots of banana. Flavor was banana bread and a bit of clove spice. Thin but very soft palate. Crsmy and smooth. Nice.

(Draft at the brewpub Bend) Pours hazy orangey gold with a big white foamy head. Aromas of banana and citrus (lemon) and wheat bread. This is decidedly not an American-style wheat. Light-bodied, crisp and clean. There’s a bit of sweetness mixed with the tangy finish which I found a little unusual. Best wheat beer in the Bend area.

[Draft - Bend, Oregon] A nice darker golden color brew hazy in the apperance and had a nice head. A deep wheat flavor and a hint of banana and cloe in the flavor and nose. This was a great brew to drink I liked it. No lemon needed this was a beer with some flavor.

Pale golden. Aroma is very wheaty with notes of lemons, bananas, bread and more wheat. Nice tart finish. This one offered way more than the American wheats from the other 2 Bend brewers I visited.
