COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The color of this Award Winning strong blonde belies its rich stout flavor from Oblique Coffee Roasters Landauer blend. Close your eyes, smell the coffee and drink in sweet cream malts and chocolate roasted malt flavors. Beer and coffee combine and soar in strength of craft of both brewer and roaster.

On tap at the brewery. Pours gold with no head. Aromas of coffee grounds and toasted malts. Flavours are a mix of coffee and golden ale. Odd.

This beer was insane! Looked like a pale ale, smelled like coffee, tasted like a coffee stout! A white stout, insane!

At the Wurst Place, this was called "Oblique Albino Stout"--I am assuming it is the same beer. Copper colored with a light cream top. Definitely not "stout" looking, nor albino for that matter either. More akin in appearance to an APA. Roasty coffee nose that grows stronger with each breath, and is a bit on the rough side. Medium-bodied, rather rough coffee grain body. Middle of the road "coffee ale."

On tap at the Barrel House. Clear pale yellow with white head. Coffee grinds, lightly roasted malt, bit of pepper, mild carbonation and body, goes down easy and really pleasant to drink.

Had on draft at the brewery. Slight green pepper, toasty, soft grain malt, coffee. This is a well executed beer, but it is not for me.

Draft - Light roast chocolate covered coffee bean. Clear gold with a thin white head. Rich coffee roast and a light malty middle finishing with the coffee again. These guys are evil magicians.

On draught at raccoon lodge - pours clear copper color with small white head. Smooth mouthfeel. Nose of coffee and hop. Taste is a nice blend of creamy coffee and hops. Appearance is pleasantly deceiving. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Cascade Brewing, Portland. Colour is clear golden with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Coffee, fruits, spices and pepper?. Quite tacky and something completely different I have ever tasted. Hard to give any points.

On tap at the brewery’s Raccoon Lodge. Amber color with white head. There is a spiciness to this beer that I can’t describe but there is nothing I would compare to a stout and nothing that approaches coffee. I asked the bartender and he explained that they are using a different coffee, a Sumatra Lintong, which has different characteristics from the coffee previously used. This beer is easy to drink with an interesting almost peppery flavor, but it’s not a stout and not coffee. Tasty nonetheless.

Hell yes on this one! Nice gold pour, white head. Flavor hits with a creamy coffee note and it lingers throughout the glass. I was really impressed with this. Cool as hell.
