COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This coffee porter features one pound per barrel of single origin coffee beans from Rwanda roasted locally by SE Portland’s Oblique Coffee Roasters. The coffee was cold-press infused for 36 hours prior to its addition to the base beer. Aromas of sweet, bright, light citrus coffee notes with hints of sweet cocoa and cream are noticed up front. Smooth cocoa and coffee notes on the palate lead to a soft, sweet chocolate finish. Beer frappe or the perfect coffee beer?

On tap at Cascade Brewing, pours a dark amber brown with a small tan head. Aroma of light espresso, pretty bland. Flavour of very pleasant espresso, slight chocolate, light roast. Watery palate, but the flavours are strong enough. Solid porter.

Looks and smells like espresso. Taste is a bit lighter with bittersweet chocolate and a mild bitter finish. Excellent.
