I was at a wedding and it was either this or corona so i went with this. Very dull aroma and an ever so slight citrus flavour. If you dont care about flavour and you just want to look "manly" drinking a beer this one is for you although personally i would rather drink my own urine.

330ml green bottle (note how the size has reduced from 375ml to 345ml to 330ml over the past 5 years or so without a price reduction!). A clear.golden lager with with a thin white head. Nose is sweet malts with a subtle straw/grass hop presence. Taste is overly sweet like most Australian pale lagers but the palate is clean and refeshing probably reflective of the Tasmanian water used. Light-medium bodied. This thankfully lacks the "chemical" elements that are so often found in other macro Aussie lagers so it gets extra marks for that.

poured golden with little white head and little lacing, nice malt and hop balance, but thin on body. Overall a decent easy drinking lager.

Wheaty, slightly funky metallic aroma. Very small haze, but still almost clear golden colour with a thin ’bitter’ style head. Mild wheat flavour with a sour mash after taste. Not terrible.

Light yellow, slightly cloudy. Timy white head. Nice skunky aroma. Awesomely balanced, bitter flavor. This beer does not suck. I guess it is amazing because I was expecting a suck beer, but actually this beer kicks ass. And if there is other crap on the shelf and you are not drinking this genius Tasmanian creation, all I can say is God help you.

330 ml bottle. Golden body with a white head. Aroma is malt and grain with a hint of citric hops. Flavor is light malt, apple fruity and a bit too sweet, almost like sweet cider kind of sweetness. Not much bitter, thin body and short finish. Fooled by the name.

Bottle @ Home

Tried this in 2008, but thought I’d rate it anyway. As far as pale lagers can go, this is certainly one of the best. Lacks the offensive metallic/chemical characteristics of cheaper brews, and is actually drinkable. The aroma and flavour lacks any real sophistication, and is fairly thin. Passable, though.

Pours gold with a small sudsy head. Aroma is faint with grainy malt and subtle grassy hops. Grainy malt is quite dirty really. Flavours include a fair bit of malt surprisingly, slight grainy, somewhat bready. Faint grassy hops also show, finishing with a restrained bitterness. Too much carbonation. Much too much. Ridiculous.
