Had at Barrel House in PDX. Subtle aroma: faint crannberry, great taste: tart to sour with crannberries all over. Lingers on pallet just a bit, not a bad thing.

Sample tray. Tinted gold. Light pleasant cranberry flavour after you get past the wakeup call of the really sour beer. Nice combination.

On tap at the brewery. Murky dark pink pour. Tart nose with some good cranberry notes. Tartness mostly dominates the flavor but there's some good fruit in the back. Cranberry ands it's own distinct sour twang to the mix. Nice beer.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a deep reddish color with a small white bubble of head. The aroma is rich art, very natural cranberries. The flavor is similar; woody, light vinegar, rich berries, very smooth, refreshing and tasty. Good.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 jethrodium (281) - Berkeley, California, USA - FEB 15, 2012
On tap at City Beer Store. Pours a clear light amber with a small white head that settles to ring and leaves little lacing on the glass. The aroma is tart cranberry, light funk, a bit of cherry, some raspberry, and some light medicinal notes, but not overwhelming. The taste is tart cranberry, cherry, and raspberry. There is a decent amount of lactic acid, but it is not burningly acidic like some of the Cascades. It’s not particularly sweet, but not dry either. The finish has a bit of cinnamon. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Quite a nice beer.

Growler from Cascade. Clear, pinkish amber pour with a brief, short head leaving no lace. Nose promises a solid sour, with some cranberries and Brett. Medium body and a lively, fine carbonation. Lemon, white grapes, cranberries, light Brett (just enough to add some flavors and umami) and green apple. Finish is short and clean, but still tart, with some sweetness creeping in. Not as complex as the best sours, but very good.

Tap at the Barrel House. Pours to a glowing amber body with a crisp white head. Aroma of cranberries and sour oak. Flavor is super sour cranberries and cinnamon. Earthy and likely great served hot. The palate is tangy and crisply falls off the tongue.
