This live NW style sour blond ale was barrel aged for eight months before getting a fresh lime zest infusion. Aromas of sweet lime and pear are the first to be noticed. Light lime citrus notes dance on the palate, then give way to a tart, dry, gin-like finish. This sour beer is a welcomed spring tonic!

On tap at the Cascade Brewing Barrel House in Portland, OR. (My notes mention this was listed as Sour Lime Live From The Barrel). Yellowish orange pour with a thin white head. Aroma of light sour lime. The flavor is surprisingly balanced and sweet for a "sour" ale yet still tastes very much like fresh limes. Very nicely done.

Tap at the Barrel House. Epic nose filled with sour lime and funked out pear notes. Haven’t ever smelled anything like it honestly. Big lime zest from beginning to end. Flat, no carbonation. Lots of heavy tart action going on from the lime. Almost gin like finish! As the description at the bar says, it’s almost longer a tonic... Different...liked it!
