3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a nice black, typical stout aroma’s of coffee, roasted malts and a roasty nuttiness.
Taste. Mainly espresso coffee, and a slight dark chocolate flavour accompanied with a pleasant bitterness throughout.
Overall. This beer just rates slightly above the crowd and is good for the price.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
This beer hits and misses in equal measure. It smells and tastes lovely with toffee and dark chocolate being most prominent and a pleasant bitterness with a little coffee flavour at the end. It pours like cola, a lovely near black colour with a dark tan head that fades almost instantly. It had way too much carbonation however and it feels like lager in the mouth.

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
This is the first time to try this beer. It has barnyard aroma, black appearance, light bitter taste, and sticky texture. Overall, this beer is not for me.........

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, light brown sugar in the aroma. Flavor is the same with a bit of bourbon. A bit bittersweet. While it wasn’t bad, it wasn’t all that good, either. Simple is it’s best quality.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
375ml bottle. Poured with a thick and creamy thus lacing and lasting dark tan to light brown head atop a deep but clear dark brown, almost black, body. Rich dark chocolate, espresso and roasted malt characters across both aroma and to taste with a slight caramel and milk chocolate sweetness. Some dark, dried fruit notes in the mid-palate. Medium in body with soft to medium carbonation and a lengthy bitter malt finish. A competent, well-brewed and full-flavoured stout.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From 375 ml bottle. Pours a deep black with a thin tan head that collapses to a collar. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, cocoa nibs and a hint of dark fruit. Taste is dominated by black coffee with notes of chocolate also evident. However there’s an odd mineral note that’s out of kilter. Dark chocolate aftertaste. Certainly not bad, but not my favourite stout.
