Mason jar--thanks, Bob! Pours a murky dark burgundy, leaning toward black. Modest creamy tan head. Big vinous woody nose, showing lots of strawberries and balsamic. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Tannic and bitey mid-palate showing all the vinous, berry, and balsamic character from the nose. Delicious.

Poured from the barrel at Cascade’s Barrel House (hey I even got to tap this beer!!).... Poured darkish, murky red/ruby with a thick beige head. It was really interested to try this beer, despite having no fruit in it it was amazing how much the barrel aging really contributed dark fruit, cherry, and wine-llike fruit tones. Of course the lacto sourness was very acidic. They said it’s one of the base beers to the "Sang" series and I can see that. It was especially reminiscent to Sang Noir with dark tannins and spice with all that puckering sourness.
