COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This NW style sour is a crisp, refreshing wheat beer that was barrel-aged for seven months then additionaly aged with strawberries for another eight months. Bright, sweet strawberries and light candy notes greet you in the nose. A light tartness and berry sweetness intermingle on the palate, giving way to a light, sparkling fresh berry tartness in the finish. It is better as a breakfast beer or a dessert? You decide.

Bottle shared at a tasting. Hazy gold pour with thin white head. Straight up strawberries on the aroma, really nice fruity wild strawberries, light lemony and plain yoghurt lactic aromas. Taste is lactic, nice fresh strawberries, beautiful bright wild strawberry and plain yoghurt flavor. Pretty simple aroma and flavor profile but oh so delicious. Very nice.

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2014 Pours a hazy golden with a small white rim that leaves nice lacing. Nose is of fruits, pretty sure they are strawberries and thank god, no acetic acid/vinegar like a lot of Cascade’s products. Taste is also of light and natural strawberries and not too acid. Body is light and almost watery, carbonation is medium-high. Overall a really nice Cascade, I’d drink that again!

Golden orange with a good pale head. Aroma is strawberry, plastic, straw. Light bodied, lightly tart on the palate, fruity finish. Taste is sour strawberry, wheat.

Blindprovad. Doft av utedass och jordgubbe. Plastig i smaken med jordgubbe av syntetisk karaktär. Syran känns lagom.

Excellent wild ale from upright. Big winey and cherry aroma upon pouring. Moderate level of funk and sour in the flavor especially. Seamlessly blended, and delicious."

From a 750ml. The nose is pure strawberry. So much so that I thought Id be strawberry coolaid on the palate so it lowered my expectations. The palate, however, is very nice with medium sourness and the essence of strawberry without being sweet. I guess this is everything I was expecting. Very good.

Godsdamn, goddamn, holy fuck yes. Just do yourself a favor and go find yourself a bottle and pay whatever they’re asking. Or fly or drive to Portland to get a fresh batch on tap at the Barrel House. This one’s a winner!

2012 bottle. It pours a bright bright orange color with a bubbly head. A crisp candied strawberry nose. A starting sour off the bat that blends into a very pure strawberry flavor. One of the most distinct strawberry flavors I’ve had in a beer. A nice sweet fruit flavor first then starts to get tart as it goes down. A nice dry finish. File it under solid once again for Cascade.

On tap at the barrel house. Pumpkin orange with a white head. Artificial strawberry aroma, slight parmesan, sweetened stewed fruit. Flavor follows, stewed sugary strawberry rhubarb pie.
