COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This NW style sour is a crisp, refreshing wheat beer that was barrel-aged for seven months then additionaly aged with strawberries for another eight months. Bright, sweet strawberries and light candy notes greet you in the nose. A light tartness and berry sweetness intermingle on the palate, giving way to a light, sparkling fresh berry tartness in the finish. It is better as a breakfast beer or a dessert? You decide.

Aroma of strawberry, tart bandaid funk and yeasty goodness. Pours bright orange with nice yeasty film. Tart and intense taste like an unsweetened strawberry lemonade. Great sour!

Bottle:   Dirty amber, somewhat of a pinkish hue, sudsy white head, dies quickly leaving little lacing.   Fruity nose, strawberry stands out.   Tart and dry up front, strawberry flavors from start to finish.   Simple, yet just as advertised.   Make that very dry.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   While not as brash and sharp as their other examples, it hits the nail on the head with the strawberry flavors.   Simple, yet enticing.   Each sip I seem to want to try more.   This really is as advertised, strawberry flavors with a rather strong dry and tart/sour finish.   Simple, yet clean and elegant.   Reminds me of the wonderful shrimp salad at The Burgundian.   One of the better Strawberry fruit beers I have ever had.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with small white head. The aroma is a strong strawberry and candy. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet fruit and stawberry with light tart in the finish. Easy to drink, a very impressive sour ale from Cascade.

Usually strawberry beers fail but this one kills it. Super sour, tart, acidic, dry. Pleanty fo strawberry flavor. Plenty of lemon and grapefruit pith.

UPDATED: APR 2, 2013 Golden red pour, good lace. Super fresh strawberry aroma makes me think I’m actually smelling a fresh strawberry patch. Aroma is truly great. Taste is a tad disappointing as the strawberries get lost in the mix. Tart and refreshing, just lacks a strong fruit backbone. Slightly better from the bottle than it was on tap, still tastes young. Should grow into its own in due time. This would be a remarkable sour for most breweries, but Cascade set their own bar too high for this to be a celebrated beer. Update 3/23/13: Wow, this has aged marvelously! Aroma doesn’t hold the same magic it once did (9 --> 7), while the taste has matured like a champ (6 --> 9). Full depth of flavor, fresh & pungent. Might be the best strawberry sour I’ve had.

Bottle at the BA Buffalo bottle share. Golden amber hue with small white head. Nose of Brett. Taste is puckering with sweet strawberries showing on the finish. This is very enjoyable.

Very lightly hazed orange/amber with a thin off white head that soon clears to edge. Nose comprises light strawbwerry notes, tarte fruit, light vinegar tones. Taste follows nose, light tarte strawberry, sour fruit tones, light sugars. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation leading to a tarte finish.
