This NW style sour is a crisp, refreshing wheat beer that was barrel-aged for seven months then additionaly aged with strawberries for another eight months. Bright, sweet strawberries and light candy notes greet you in the nose. A light tartness and berry sweetness intermingle on the palate, giving way to a light, sparkling fresh berry tartness in the finish. It is better as a breakfast beer or a dessert? You decide.

Bottle pour. Thanks D for sharing! Pours an apple juice color with an incredible fresh strawberry aroma. Serious pucker up on this one. Flavor is 10% sweet and 90% sour. I love this much more than I love strawberries. Incredible sour. Loved it.

Bottle, shared with Parksy and JJ at Stumbling Monk in Seattle. Hazy bright orange pour, lively white head. Aroma is tart berries and yoghurt. Unripened berry tartness, strawberry sweetness, tart/modestly sour acidic finish. Not over the top with sourness (even Parksy liked this one), and not unbearably sweet with the strawberries (as so many strawberry beers can be). Another great brew from Cascade.

750ml c&c bottle via online. Poured a slightly hazed deep orange/amber body with a smaller foamy off white head. Aroma is odd, plasticy, odd strawberry, some odd model plastic bubble stuff that I used to blow baloons up with when I was a kid. Palate is medium overall, average to slightly stronger carbonation and a strong aftertaste. Flavor is better than the aroma, sourness, lemons, acidity, touch of strawberry along with a hint of vinegar.

From the January 2014 3R6P tasting +++ Sampled from a 750 ml corked brown bottle this beer poured a red-pink color with a medium sized foamy pink head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was strawberry jam, a bit of must and a hint of a medicinal presence. The flavor was tart and sour with strawberry, artificial sugar, must and some astringency. Long sour strawberry finish. Medium body. Interesting.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange-amber color with a moderate off-white head on there. Nose has a lot of strawberry to it, as well has a hefty amount of sour and funk coming through. Taste is also pretty sour, though it has a residual fruity sweetness to it.

From notes. Tasted on 6/26/13 on draft at the brewpub with Chris after Oregon Pinot Camp. Pours hazy pink-hued orange with a thick white head that leaves thick, sticky lace. The nose is fresh, tart wild strawberry, a touch candied, with lively tartness. The flavor is aggressively sour with the candied strawberry up front, moving to more tart wild strawberry on the back. The body is medium, very tannic, with average carbonation and a long tart strawberry finish. The flavors are simple but delicious, but the look and texture of this beer are top notch.

Bottle @ 10 East - Aroma - strawberries and some funk wafting from the glass. Nothing overly impressive, but nice for sure. Appearance - cloudy medium copper body, foamy white head with medium retention. Flavor - jammy strawberry flavor, medium sourness, light funk present and some zesty lemon notes. Palate - spritzy/high-carbonation..light/medium bodied. Overall - it manages to deliver a full fruit profile along with some zingy pucker power with some funk. The high price tag brings the party down a few spots, but the beer in the bottle is quite solid.

Bottle to glass. Pours a hazy amber color with a thin light tan head. Aroma is a magnificent tart, oak, light berry notes. Flavor has a huge sourness, Brett, hidden strawberry character in the background. Solid lingering tartness, but with a strange funk at the finish. Overall another solid sour from Cascade.
