This NW style sour is a crisp, refreshing wheat beer that was barrel-aged for seven months then additionaly aged with strawberries for another eight months. Bright, sweet strawberries and light candy notes greet you in the nose. A light tartness and berry sweetness intermingle on the palate, giving way to a light, sparkling fresh berry tartness in the finish. It is better as a breakfast beer or a dessert? You decide.

Only down side is huge money for this 750 bottle....forty bucks ouch. Never the less worth it as it has so much going on. Huge strawberry aroma off the start. Poured rose red. Light head. Flavors of everything, from hay, barnyard sweet strawberries and ending of very tart acids. After all that the strawberries cruise back in for the finish line. A+

2012 vintage 750ml scott purchased directly from cascade in January 2014. Think it was $20. Label says 7.1% ABV. Pours a hazy peach color with a very large bottle conditioned type head. Not a gusher, though. Aromas of yogurt, strawberry kefir, oak. Taste is moderate to heavy sour with low bitterness, even for this style. Flavor is strawberry Greek yogurt with all the grittiness included along with strawberry seeds and oak branches. Very impressive. High carbonation. Phlegm inducing. Finish is puckering and satisfying, with a noticeable amount of sweaty tartness, berries and twigs. Iím pretty sure I could drink this all night. Not the best beer Iíve ever had, but itís pretty damn close.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2013 A very nice vinous sour aroma with a light strawberry aroma. Taste is nice and sour. Prob 7 out of 10 on the sour scale. Slight strawberry taste. Not overwhelming or sweet. Carbonation disappears fast on this one, that is prob the only real negative. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml corked bottle (2011 project, 7,39% ABV). A hazy medium red/amber beer, with a large, extremely fizzy, fast and almost completely collapsing white head. The aroma is very lightly malty (bread), lightly to moderately yeasty (barnyard), with strong notes of strawberries (fresh, bubblegum and yoghurt ones), other notes of wood and perhaps peach. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately to heavily acidic. Medium body, velvety texture, lively but fading carbonation, pretty long anf fairly dry finish with a touch of bitterness, lightly alcoholic. Not extremely complex, but it definately surpassed my expectations. Powerful and fresh nose with plenty of strawberries and very clean flavors. Maybe Iíve been a tad too generous woith the appearence score, but the color is body color is beautiful and I thought this underrated stuff deserves a little bit more consideration.

Place is great for their fruit wild stuff. Big huge strawberries with some oak and strawberry wine characteristics. Some breads yeast and Brett. Excellent brew.

Usually strawberry beers fail but this one kills it. Super sour, tart, acidic, dry. Pleanty fo strawberry flavor. Plenty of lemon and grapefruit pith.

Bottle shared with friends. Gotta love Cascade sours! They do it right! This one is straight up strawberry all around, thereís no escaping it. Good tart sour flavor as well. A real jaw tickler.
