Cascade night at Urban Family. Hazy golden, white head, tropical fruit nose. Nice fruity mild ipa with good citric backing. Bittering finish, very good if middle of the road.

Orange. Nice and floral. Hop forward, and not too strong. Good and sessionable - not bad at all.

Draft at special brews. Pours a hazy burnished medium amber with a loose white head. Spotty lace. Mild tangy orange and caramel nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Oranges and a bit of pineapple on the mid palate, followed by some toast and caramel. Mild crisp resiny finish.

Draught at the Barrel House. Cloudy orange-bronze with a lacy head. Great grapefruit nose, some passion fruit. Sweet honeyed fruit salad flavor, peach, grapefruit, mango. Soft, oily, full body. Good stuff. A bit too thick.

Half-pint @ Chuck’s, $2.25. I’m trying real hard to be impartial but I was going to order a 120 minute but the keg blew on the guy right in front of me. so now all I can think of is how this is not 120 minute Ipa. fine in its own right but my head’s not in it.

This has to be the dankest IPA I’ve ever had. The aroma is like stepping into a pinball arcade in Ann Arbor in 1976. Ultra dank and almost skunky in a good way. Beautiful amber pour, modest lacing. Crisp grapefruit pith flavors, piney resin. Malts bringing in challah and some stone ground wheat thin, dry enough and well balanced. Very well crafted IPA

On draft at the barrel house...hazy yellow orange pour with some hoppiness, resin and spice..definitely get some biscuit character and really, really good.

Growler shared at the July Santa Cruz tasting. Pours a clear orange-gold with a fine white head. Aroma is super dank, pure weed with a bit of unripe grapefruit. Flavor loses that juicy potent hoppiness a little, instead tending more toward floral and citrusy notes. Decent malt profile, some pale and some caramel, a little sweet. Solid lasting bitterness and a nice palate. Some leafy herbal notes in the flavor and better attenuation would carry this beer a long way, but it’s still good.

Draught at the brewpub. Gold color with a thick white head. Big hoppy aroma with lots of conifer, dank grapefruit, and some tropical fruit. Medium malt presence with medium sweetness. Lots of dank grapefruit and pine flavors with a touch of mint. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. They really hit it with the hops in this one, and it would really be awesome if it were a touch dryer, but its plenty good as is.

Lock this motherfucker in ho! Nice nose of grapefruit, floral, and a good deal of piney hops. Malt base is lightly sweet and there for a nice balance. Pours bright golden amber, great frothy creamy head and wonderfully sticky sheets of lace. A great looking beer. First flavors are of floral and citrusy hops, light malt sweetness, a little grain base, big piney finish. Malt base provides nice balance, solidly easy to drink, quenching even, nice dry resins too. A really nice NW IPA.
